The statute of limitations was about to expire, and I felt that I was running out of time. I had called everywhere and tried every avenue I could think of before I was finally referred to David Degnan. I am extremely grateful that I found him. I scheduled a free 15-minute consultation with David, but once he understood the extent of the damage and the urgency of the situation, he continued speaking with me for nearly 45 minutes. He was never in a hurry, never made me feel rushed, and did not charge me for the additional time. He listened carefully, treated me with respect, and offered meaningful guidance at a time when I felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Rather than encouraging me to spend money unnecessarily, David gave me practical advice and helped me understand how I could move forward on my own at that stage. He also told me that if I needed him later in the process, he would be happy to represent me. That meant a great deal to me because I felt he was genuinely looking out for my best interests rather than simply trying to obtain a paying client. I ultimately filed the case myself, using much of the advice he generously provided, and the matter is now moving forward. What stood out to me most was not only his knowledge, but also his kindness, patience, and genuine concern. As a senior citizen dealing with a stressful and complicated situation, I felt respected, heard, and valued. David is a caring and compassionate attorney, and I will always appreciate the time, guidance, and reassurance he gave me when I truly needed it.

Not only was he helpful in providing some options / path forward for my situation, but he offered a lot of good advice and ultimately a referral to someone that specialized in what I needed. Would highly use him again for anything legal related in the future.

The site to visit is below https://www.azbar.org/for-legal-professionals/practice-tools-management/member-directory/ When I reached out to Mark, he strongly persuaded me to file for an eviction, emphasizing how important it was for me to recover my lost wages. However, what he failed to disclose--which I found to be very deceitful--was that his services do not include recovering those lost payments which to me defeats the purpose if you don't know where the tenant resides. I even asked him if he could mediate the situation of get the tenant to the table and he strongly advise i pursue a judgement... because that's how he gets paid. I would have paid to mediate... I just wanted representation. To be clear, tenant was communicative by email but we had no address of the tenant. I not once did the lawyer serve any of the paperwork via email. Although I'm not entirely comfortable discussing my eviction experience, I remain unconvinced that I even needed to go through the process. My tenant had already abandoned the unit without surrendering the keys, making the situation unclear. knowing what i know how now, I am legally obligated to still communicate how i am going to handle the security deposit. But I am really suffering a huge financial loss that Mark stated was a lot of money... clearly money i may new recover. Unfortunately, Mark's approach left much to be desired. He does not thoroughly review discovery documents or commit the details of your renter's story to memory as he kept asking me questions about situation there were already in the material I sent him. On several occasions, the so-called "professional documents" he prepared--such as affidavits and notices--contained significant errors, including repeated misspellings of the tenant's address on multiple occasions. While Mark may come across as a nice guy on the phone, I cannot recommend his services. I had to constantly follow up with him to ensure tasks were completed, which eroded my trust in his capabilities. I also found his communication style manipulative--he knows how to carefully phrase things to influence your perception while avoiding accountability. This made me lose respect for him. I'm sharing my experience to help others make informed decisions. I would advise caution if you're considering his services.

Then he played a snippet of Indiana Jones. I was already traumatized when I arrived at his office. I was barely able to drive home afterwards. How the Arizona Bar Association hasn't disbarred him yet is beyond me!!!! He lied to me, and made and broke promises to me, which made an already horrible time in my life (divorce) SO MUCH WORSE!! He purposely dragged out my divorce only to get more money out of me!!!! He had the worst communication skills of any attorney (or business "professional" for that matter) I have ever dealt with in my life. I could not for the life of me get him to call me back, return emails, or respond to voicemails. He was late to every meeting and court date. He flat out doesn't know the law... He is a FRAUD! Even more astounding is his UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR. His inappropriate sexual comments were just the tip of that ice burg. Please, if you are considering hiring this attorney to represent you in any type of matter, I encourage you to look at his bar complaints and disciplinary actions, his various negative website reviews, and if you somehow still aren't scared off.. just go meet with him (just don't give him any money). You'll surely see for yourself why you should press on in your search for adequate counsel. Divorce is a hard enough time in someone's life... do yourself a favor & seek a different attorney to help assist you through.

I was referred to him by a friend, and I regret the day I ever hired him. While he has no problem billing for work he hasn't done, he failed miserably to represent me in a competent professional way. Do yourself a favor and don't use this attorney....ever.
