Truth be told, he already knew most of them before we started, but it was great for his socialization to meet all of the other puppies of various sizes and their owners. There is also a cute little store to buy some nice toys, leashes, and food. A few inevitable "accidents" happened on the floor, even my pup had one during the last class; but there was a mop ready for the occasion and the trainer did not make a big deal out of it. This was so much better than another business that I tried that used clicker training where they told you over and over that your pup had better not have an accident or else and the training method looked like it was going to be stressful for both dogs and owners. We left that one after the first class. I highly recommend Dog Day Afternoon.

This place is amazing and I'm really surprised to see some of the pathetic reviews so far. Let me…read morestart with my story and my 120lb Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute...Allie. We came here a year ago because of a hurricane evacuation. We're stationed down near Miami now, but have always called DC home, so when it was time to evacuate, there was no question on where we would head. I brought our dog Allie with us (wife took a flight out of Dulles to go see family), so I was looking for a place to put her for a day or two and get all her sillies out with some other dogs. This place was super accommodating to our situation, got her evaluated within a few minutes of the first day, and then took her for the day and absolutely wore her out! She had so much fun that when we came back the next day, she immediately started getting excited in the car when we drove into the location. Phenomenal staff who actually love dogs (not just the typical business owners that see a dollar sign over your pup) and will have fun with them all day long! For the reviews about scratches and sniffling...give me a break. This is a doggy day care...not the ER. It isn't meant to be perfectly sanitized, as I'm quite sure none of our dogs Purell their hands upon entry. If they have a scratch or two, it's because they were chasing dog butts all day and had a blast. If there are ever any issues, the staff will call right away and will section your dog off so they don't get hurt. If your dog got a scratch, they were probably having the time of their life. Calm down. If you want a solid dog boarding/daycare spot outside of DC filled with knowledgeable staff who care and will wear the pooch out for a day, this is definitely the spot to go to! The prices are more than reasonable and since it's indoors, it doesn't matter what weather will hit the area. Rain or shine, your pup will have a dog-gone good time with some of DC's finest 4-legged friends. I highly recommend them and we will most certainly be coming back over the holidays!!

I have been bringing my dog to ADDO for months and she really enjoys the time there. This morning,…read moreafter traveling a half hour to them to drop my dog off before work, I was told they couldn't take her back because her Bordatella was due two days ago. So I had to turn around and take her back home, which screwed up my work schedule. If they have the vaccine information, it would have been very helpful if they could have sent me a reminder so that I could have addressed it before bringing her in. But seriously, a vaccine expiration of two days should not prevent access. I'll start looking for a new day care that has better customer service.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Loudoun K9. Daniel and his entire staff have been…read moreincredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping us achieve the goals we had for our rescue puppy. Before training, our puppy was approaching 40 pounds and was a nightmare to walk. As my wife and I get older, we were concerned that he would simply drag us around and make walks stressful instead of enjoyable. Thanks to Daniel and his team's expertise, that has completely changed. They taught him all the basic commands, improved his recall, and transformed his leash manners. Walking our dog is now a pleasure instead of a constant struggle. The training has truly changed our relationship with our dog and made him a much better companion for our family. What impressed us even more was the level of care they provided during a family emergency. We unexpectedly needed boarding, and Daniel welcomed our dog in without hesitation. Not only did he receive excellent care, but Daniel and his team continued reinforcing his training while he was there, so he came home even better than when we dropped him off. We are incredibly grateful to Daniel and everyone at Loudoun K9 for everything they've done. Their professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for both dogs and their owners are second to none. We highly recommend Loudoun K9 to anyone looking for exceptional training and boarding services.

Daniel refused to send any confirmation due to him feeling like our dog had anxiety, which is what we brought him there for to begin with. Signing up was easy and we took advantage of their buy one day get two free deal when we did! Only small downside when signing up is the $15 evaluation fee since other places don't charge for one but it wasn't that big of a deal given the deal we got. The staff members are very helpful and friendly when dropping off and picking up our pup. They know her by name! (Probably because she's one of the dogs that run around and get into trouble all the time ). Downloading their app and setting up your dog's daycare appointment on it is very intuitive (or you can just call in especially if you have special requests). The webcam access that they provide on their app and website is very nice since we can check up on our pup throughout the day until we pick her up! There are three different rooms they provide for your dog depending on their size and/or temperament. Currently, Luna goes to the toy box with all the younger pups and small dogs but she's been in the lounge with her bigger sister before and has done fine! She plays with a lot of the other dogs and there are staff members in each room supervising the dogs as well as sanitizing after any accidents. She does get in trouble every so often for playing too rough and would have to be but in a crate for timeout which is good since she is still learning how to be more gentle. I also enjoy the different events they have for the dogs during holidays, special occasions and just because! Luna had her first pool experience there! We have also did the in house puppy social and dog training class with Dara from The Enlightened Dog which was a learning and an enjoyable experience. Also the price was very reasonable! I would definitely recommend Dogtopia to anyone around the area especially if your dog is fine with being in a crate during timeouts, nap/lunch time!

I found Pitter Pat on Yelp, and also noted great reviews from Angies List and pretty much anywhere I could find info, so I gave them a call. Our trip was within a week and it was great to know that the dogs would be in great hands. We received daily updates and photos of the dogs and they were very well taken care of, not to mention the peace of mind we had knowing that our house was being checked on daily on top of it. We came home to find them very happy and we had zero issues the entire time. The value was great (comparable if not cheaper than boarding) and the service was absolutely top notch.
