This is not my favorite place, but I give it 4 stars because the Schatz really loves it. He grew up eating here, so perhaps it holds sentimental value as well. (If it weren't for the Scheiney, I'd probably give it about 3-3.5 stars.) Pros: beautiful ambience. It's hard not to feel cheery and homey in there! Everything is very clean and orderly. The wait staff is quite pleasant. The menu is rather large, as are the portions. The cons? Wie sagt man,, Please pass the salt, por favor?" To say the food is under seasoned is an UNDERSTATEMENT. But maybe those are my overworked American tastebuds? The Schatzi loves this place and hat kein Problem gehabt. This place is very cozy, its got plenty of seating area for you and your guests. If what you want is to bring family that have never tasted German food, this would be the place, as their prices ate definitely unbeatable for the portion sizes (HUGE). not the best german food I've had, but i wont complain because its not thw worst..... And like i said... Prices!! There is an area underneath for children to play around with building blocks and a gliding toy, as well as a game room for older children or teens, so that is a huge plus!! We both had the schnitzel mit knödl, and its probably thr biggest knödl ive ever encountered... The food is a little undeeseasoned, but salt always goes a long way... A good place to stop and grab schnitzel with a group. Large venue with plenty of space, quick service, and very reasonable prices. The schnitzel was tasty and everyone was satisfied with their meal. I wouldn't mind taking friends or family here, but there are other options in the area that have a more expansive--and interesting--menu. But for a beer and schnitzel, especially for a crowd, this place is certainly a good option. read more

This is the place to bring friend and family whom may be visiting Germany for the first time. Especially if you are paying for the bill. The decor is kitchy german/bavarian. The schnitzel plates are crazy big and cheap. Knodels are huge! It isn't the finest food for the region but it is fun. There are local fish delicacies available as well. Try the vanilla ice with hot raspberry sauce or apple strudel. There is a playroom for children downstairs. Not for customers to let their children run wild and scream - but to supervise their play if they get restless. Sorry sometimes the obvious needs to be stated Pros- large restaurant with lots of seating & staff. Huge portions- leftovers! Reasonable prices. Good for family budgets. Worst german food Iv had after living in Germany for six years. Schnitzel was so burned and tough my hands were tired after cutting it. No exaggeration. Flavor was absent, except for the burned taste. This place really tried my rule of never sending anything back to the kitchen. The staff was nice though. Cool menus. Cold beer. read more

The food is good German fare at a reasonable price and the atmosphere is fun with great decor. The best part of the restaurant is that they have a kids play area to keep your little ones entertained. We will be frequent customers. read more
