The pathway up to the hut is just a short walk from the inn. The inn itself is kind of unique with the ice ax and ski décor. It reminded me a little of Ketchikan for some reason. Maybe it was the 5 Points of Contact photo that I saw by Peter Daynes. There's also a display of ice axes designed by Hamish MacInnes. Our tour guide in Ketchikan was coincidentally named Hamish. The food took almost an hour to get to us, but with the great views and the live music, we really were not too bothered by this. We arrived to a casual setting with only 5 rooms available to rent. Our room is spacious and cozy. We made reservations at the restaurant and the food was fresh and light with many great option. After dinner we headed to the riverside Picnic tables to enjoy the lasting sunlight, a glass of wine and to watch the birds, a rainbow and relax. Even if you are passing through, it is worth having lunch and sitting riverside. We will be back. Love it here.
