We took the vehicle to this dealership, where we were charged $183 just for diagnostics. We were then told the issue was related to 3 recalls, which they supposedly repaired. Less than a week later, the exact same problem happened again -- my vehicle began decelerating on the highway. We returned the vehicle, and this time they replaced another part and charged us an additional $500. However, the SAME DAY we picked it up, the vehicle did the exact same thing again. Because we were out of town when it happened again, we had to take it to a different Nissan dealership. That dealership was finally able to correctly diagnose and repair the actual issue, but it cost us another $1,200. What is most frustrating is that we already paid for diagnostics at Mount Airy Nissan. If the vehicle was properly diagnosed the first time, why was the real issue repeatedly missed? This entire experience was extremely distressing, time-consuming, expensive, and potentially dangerous. While the staff was polite, the repeated misdiagnosis and unnecessary costs left us with very little confidence in the service department.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Accountability**…read more After purchasing six brand-new Nissans and one gently used Nissan over the years, I have been a loyal Nissan customer for a very long time. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Simmons Nissan/Mount Airy Nissan has completely changed my opinion of this dealership and has caused me to reconsider my loyalty to the Nissan brand. I brought my vehicle to the dealership for a routine oil change. I followed their normal check-in procedure, parked my vehicle in the designated parking area, went inside, and turned over my keys. A dealership employee subsequently moved my vehicle to the service area. While I was sitting in the customer waiting room, four police detectives arrived at the dealership regarding a disgruntled employee. As that individual was leaving the dealership in his personal vehicle, he backed into my parked car, which had been moved by dealership personnel. What happened afterward was almost as disturbing as the accident itself. I was not notified until after the individual had left the premises. By the time I was brought outside, a uniformed police officer had already completed the accident report without speaking to me. When I asked the officer why no one had come inside to get me, he explained that no one had told him I was there. Rather than expressing concern about what had happened to my vehicle while it was in their care, dealership management was quick to inform me that they had no liability because the person responsible was supposedly a former employee. General Manager Frank Weatherly and manager Rasheed Brisco showed little willingness to assist me in resolving the situation. I subsequently contacted Nissan USA, which reached out to the dealership. Even after that involvement, the dealership continued to deny responsibility. **What I find especially unacceptable is that not one person from this dealership has contacted me since the incident to apologize, inquire about my vehicle, offer assistance, or even follow up on the situation. Not one phone call.** I understand that accidents can happen. However, I also believe that when a customer entrusts a vehicle to a dealership for service, that customer should reasonably expect the dealership to demonstrate some level of concern and assistance if the vehicle is damaged while in its care. Beyond the cost of repairs, I am also concerned about the diminished value of my vehicle resulting from an accident that occurred while it was at the dealership for maintenance. For years, I have trusted Nissan dealerships to maintain my vehicles, and my family's history of purchasing Nissan products reflects that loyalty. I certainly never expected to be treated with such indifference when something went wrong. **My greatest disappointment is not simply that my vehicle was damaged. It is the complete lack of concern, customer service, and willingness to help from dealership management.** I have always believed that the true measure of a business is not whether problems occur, but how that business responds when they do. After this experience, I have decided to look at other automobile manufacturers when purchasing my next vehicle. I am sharing this experience because I believe potential customers deserve to know how this dealership handled a situation involving a vehicle entrusted to them for service. **Seven Nissan purchases over the years, and apparently that customer loyalty meant very little when I needed their assistance.** Extremely disappointing.

This dealership works hard to make you feel important when you're looking at buying; however, once…read morethe ink dries you're not important anymore. I've encountered service and parts multiple times and had issues. The Parts Manager, with the beard, is so rude, other employees even acknowledge it and agree that he is rude...so my question is, why is he still there? Recently when trying to crank my vehicle with my key fob with me, I kept getting an error message saying that the key fob was not in the vehicle. When it finally cranked, using the key fob, I came to the dealership to have the key fob checked. The lady in the parts department (with the hurt foot) advised that the key fob appeared to be fully charged. The Parts Manager came out and was rushing her to finish up so they can attend a Christmas party from 10:30 am - 1 pm that day. The time was around 10:20 am. He rushed to tell me to schedule an appointment with service. He was very rude and I am looking to schedule my appointment and reach out to upper management to discuss this. I was told the owners were up from Charlotte, and that's why the Christmas party had to happen on time. Maybe they need to reevaluate how their management runs this place when they're not throwing parties. So, to wrap it up, to this dealership you're only as important as you want to be before the deal is done. Once you buy and you drive off the lot, you're no longer important. Buy somewhere else where they'll make you feel important all the time, not just when you're looking to initially buy.
