First time in there, I thought I would get adventurous and order something I usually don't get, and not surprisingly, because I'm picky, I didn't like it. Noooooooot a fan of this place. I've given them chance after chance & I've never had a good experience. Coffee is bitter & leaves a nasty after taste. The food items I ordered weren't heated properly & cold. The bagels are either stale or not thawed put properly; either way they're inedible. Money down the drain. every. time. The girl working the register clearly didn't know a thing about coffee and claimed you can't brew coffee with ice so we couldn't get an iced coffee. Their website clearly states that they do pour overs, in which they DO NOT serve (literally the reason we came here because we love pour over coffee ). Also, their lids DO NOT fit their cups- my husband was served piping hot coffee & it burnt his hand because the lid came off. Save yourself time & don't go here. Huge disappointment. They need to update their outside ordering system. What they have now is slow, slow slow. Frankly their coffee isn't worth the wait. We waited in line for 25 minutes just to get to the window to order! This is ridiculous! I would not recommend this coffee shop. I should have asked for the young mans name that was cashiering, and I'm sorry I didn't. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to coffee! I asked him wheat he thought the best thing on the menu was and he said a white americano with peanut butter and let me tell you, it is AMAZING! He was very kind and if he ever reads this, thank you it is now my favorite drink and I am now sad I don't live in Helena so I can get this every day but I will be back just for this drink. A little disappointed. I've been coming here for quite awhile now and would have next to no wait time. But gradually, it's become a lot worse. Just now me and another customer were sitting in line for almost a half an hour, and there were only two other people in front of us. So it wasn't busy. And there were next to no customers in the parking lot itself. I left feeling quite irritated and was almost late to my new job that I just started two days ago. A group of us stopped in for drinks on our way through town. 2 out of 6 liked their drinks. The rest of us were very surprised how little flavor there was. My chai tea latte with almond milk tasted like almond milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon, as did a few others. For the $28 we spent on 6 drinks I wouldn't go back, but again a couple did like their drinks so maybe not all bad. Overall just underwhelming and disappointing. Stopped by on our way out of town. Friendly service & a much larger place than I expected. All our coffees were good, while the scone was delicious. The cinnamon roll was excellent! I have to update my review. I lived in Helena in the summer of 2011 and this was by far my favorite coffee shop! However, I was back in Helena recently and the coffee was awful, the service was ridiculously slow which is odd since the place only had two other customers waiting. Staff seemed nice and the space was welcoming. Great idea to have local pictures on the walls! Has a fireplace and great variation in table and couch seating. Good location in a busy area of Helena. Mostly knowledgeable staff. Asked for a split shot which the staff understood. I heard one of the staff say they had never made a pour over which was a shame since I ordered a pour over as well. Had steady traffic on a holiday so it is a well liked shop locally. The coffee was ok. The pour over wasn't great. The split shot latte was better. All in all a good shop. I've only been here once and I already love the place. I just moved to Helena and a customer from work recommended I try it. I came through this morning and the gal at the register was super sweet and helpful. I ordered a 16oz caramel macchiato and a bagel (which the gal helped me pick out). Quite disappointed with this place, mainly due to false advertisement. Website states they make pour overs, French press, etc....so we decided to try this place out after driving from great falls. Well they didn't have any of that. Just a basic coffee shop serving nothing special. And when I asked for an iced coffee for my wife, the lady at the counter literally gave me a dumb look and said, "you can't make coffee with ice, would you like a cold americano instead?". Plus to add to the disappointment, the lid didn't fit completely and was leaking all over, causing extremely hot coffee to spill on my hands. read more

The baristas are passionate about quality, and the evidence is in the perfection they manage to capture into each cup. These artists are capable of brewing espresso that is so smooth, it's almost buttery. The best white mochas (hot or iced) in town! This is my go to spot for good coffee. It is also a great atmosphere to get work done. In the summer I bring my nephews and niece here to cool down with an iced drink and play board games. I've only ever had one drink made wrong. I wasn't able to bring my drink back the day of as I was on my way to work. When I was able to returned, the manger was super nice, apologized, and made me a new drink. I am from out of town and tried this coffee shop for the first time and I will never make that mistake again. First off I was watching the baristas while waiting in line and a girl dropped a cup on the floor picked it up and used it for someone's drink. I ordered a smoothie and it was disgustingly sweet and every time I took a sip pieces of plastic came with it. I took the smoothie back WITH three pieces of plastic as asked for a refund and they refused with no explanation. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. read more

Horrible service. The staff seem inconvenienced that you want to spend money and cause them to have to work. Then... the door to the work area kept SLAMMING. And it was clearly causing jolting disturbances to the customers. So, I asked them, "Are you aware that that door is slamming?" Response: "Oh it's broken, we can't do anything about it." Me: "You could try controlling the door closure with your hand." Them: deer-in-the-headlights idiot-blank-stare, followed by snide comments and I returned to my so-so coffee and book. Nice Montana style coffee house with cowboy paintings on the wall. Coffee was good and service was very good. They have a drive through if you need joe on the go. Lots of room to spread out and a nice lawn for kids to play on if you don't mind the street being nearby. The interior is a bit "hard" in that sound echoes, so it's a bit noisy. read more

I have decided to quit going here. Tired of the coffee so hot you cant drink it. I asked the gal at the counter the last time I was there if they could cool off my latte a bit. She grabbed my drink dumped part of it down the sink and added ice. What the??? I paid 5$ for half a drink with no flavor. Poor customer service. I am really picky about coffee. I don't like bitter roasts so I am cautious about coffee stands when I travel. I ordered an Americana with Heavy Cream and it was perfect. The service was friendly. I ordered an Italian soda for my daughter and it was made with Sprite. I have never heard of this, but could taste it in my daugter's drink. She cannot have pop for a medical reason, and when I asked if they could make it with soda water they said they didn't have it and they didn't offer to refund us or make a new drink. Then on top of that they were whispering to each other about it while I payed for a new drink. I don't normally give bad reviews, but this was simply terrible customer service. read more
