Women typically find a good gyno and hold on for dear life. It's very stressful testing the waters and trying to find a new OB/GYN to take care of your unborn and hoo-ha. Imagine my stress when moving and looking for a new GYN after recently having a baby.
I started with this practice in 2013.
I've seen both Dr. Rogers and Dr. Scartiscini (and his daughter, the NP).
Dr. Scartascini is gentle, humble, very smart, and probably approaching retirement. He is well liked and it's easy to see why. He has a lot of cultural competence and I appreciate that.
Dr. Rogers...well, he seems a little prick-ish, but I like him. His demeanor can be somewhat like 'ewww...I don't wanna touch vaginas' but he takes you into his office and THOROUGHLY explains everything in detail with tons of options. I think he's better as a researcher or professor (not patient facing).
The Greenbelt office is old, small, parking is horrific and it doesn't feel like somewhere you'd want to be.
Bowie office is behind the Bowie health center near the shopping center where Macy's, etc is. Not a bad location, but the building is just odd. New construction appearance but a closed floor plan. Makes it feel secluded and not a lot of access to natural light. It's a little scary walking up the stairwell to the second floor. Eekk.
The biggest problem with this practice is THE PRACTICE. The staff is horrible, the wait time on the phone is horrible, the wait time for appointments is horrible, the disposition of the staff is horrible......I do NOT see how people deal with this. read more
