Staff is so nice and really made our stay memorable. The location is very good too, with the tram right outside the hotel. If in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink (NA) and snack.We were able to sit at a comfortable chair and bistro table and enjoy our snack and drink while we were checked in. It felt more like a lounge than a hotel check-in. The spa has 3 styles of pools - jetted, soaking, and a floating outdoor "champagne" pool, sauna, relaxation chairs, steam room, hammam, cold plunge. It was the ultimate relaxation. Tips: Take advantage of the spa and reserve your time at the spa ahead of time if it's a busy travel season. Have a drink at the lounge and chat with the bartender.

We stayed here again toward the end of our stay and this time we got the Superior suite overlooking the lounge. Both rooms had their own charm but if you're a light sleeper I recommend getting a room that faces the inside atrium of the hotel not the street. I slept great in both rooms. Our favorite part about this hotel apart from the decor, great staff and location was the breakfasts. We fell in love with Gothenburg and I believe this hotel played a part in that. I arrived at 0930 after several long flights from the States. They were quite accommodating while they prepared my room. I was able to check in at 1100. There are several pictures of the updated rooms already on Yelp. The picture I posted is the view from my room. Odd numbered rooms have an interior view, while even numbered rooms have an outside view of Gothenburg. When you check in, make sure you let them know if you have a preference. The gym is small, but the equipment is new and very high tech. For example, the weightlifting equipment has a display that shows you the proper speed for your lifting cycle. There is also a full service Spa onsite as well There are two restaurants on-site, the Atrium and Noot Nordic Kitchen. The included breakfast is nothing less than astonishing. It puts cruise ships to shame. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and the main train station is just across the street, as is the expansive Nordstan shopping mall.

I had a friend stay in a double room as well, her room and bathroom were bigger, however she had a tub and no heated floor. The noise outside could be a bit bothersome, especially on weekend nights, so you may want to try for a room at the front of the building. The staff was very friendly and knew the area quite well and gave some good recommendations for dinner. The breakfast included a nice variety of meats, cheeses, breads and fruit. It was quite filling and plenty of options. The downfall is that there is no gym and other hotels in the area included a gym and were priced comparably. I also found myself without shampoo/conditioner in the mornings because housekeeping has not replenished them.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the beds are good for a decent sleep. The bathroom is ok size and a cool perk is the heated towel racks. Iron, fridge, television, the usual standards are all available with ample closet space. The staff is astoundingly caring and go the extra step to make the trip memorable. On a few occasions, the staff went above and beyond for anything I needed help with. Also, with sporadic rain showers, feel free to borrow an umbrella from the front guest services!

Everything else was pleasant. The breakfasts were good. It was mainly continental breakfast but had some warm scrambled egg and bacon. There was choice of rolls and bread, jam and marmalade, boiled eggs, cheeses and ham. There was also teas, coffee and juices as well as cereal. Breakfasts were included in our room price. Overall a good experience and no real complaints. I'm not a particularly fussy person and I'd recommend this hotel to friends.

Easy enough to get around with public transportation, but just a heads up that there are limited ways to get there (ferry during the day, public transportation, ride share).
