So everything about the service was fantastic My experience during the treatment was really good. I'm really happy with the results but what really matters is how you're perceived afterwards. I had a hair transplant about 7 years ago and for the last two years I have been using Toppik to cover my scalp and it's costly and very messy. I was very skeptical about doing scalp pigmentation since I have long hair. After doing a lot of research on scalp pigmentation I decided to use Scalpp since they have excellent reviews online. While I can honestly say I haven't had the procedure done (yet) I did come in to observe the Scalp Micropigmentation clinic with my sister. Ian is an incredibly talented and dedicated artist to his craft. The office space was clean and welcoming and very professional. I saw many before and after photos of his work and honestly if you have any form of hair loss this looks like one of the most natural appearing forms to regain back confidence into your life. My sister had a little bit of work done near her hairline above her brow to just make her hair appear more full and luxurious and it seamlessly flows together. I'm writing this review because Ian is an actual life changer. It's long so either buckle up for the ride or just look at the 5 stars I'm leaving instead. Also if you're questioning whether to go for SMP or not, I'd say 100% do it. The results look completely natural. Ian has a gift. My story: I started receding my senior year of high school, and was notably balding by sophomore year of college, age 20. Junior year of college I was trying to do what I could with what little I had left, and by senior year of college I was full on shaving my head. I always told myself that balding was a condition, but being bald was a choice. Still, people my age were always in shock of me being bald because the truth is when you're this young, people just don't expect it. It's not common when you're in your "prime" and people make it a big deal when they find out. It's annoying. I have had a girl flat out drop me the moment she found out I was bald; the mood shifted that quick when I got comfortable about showing my head and taking my hat off. Obviously she's shallow lol and not the one for me, but it still destroys a guy's confidence. Hair transplants were never an option for me. They are stupid expensive and I'm sure I have the type of genetics where the new hair would leave me as fast as it was put in. I refused to take propecia because I don't want to be on it for life, and I have the type of luck where if there's negative side effects to be had from taking a medicine, I'm sure to experience them. It wasn't worth it for me. So naturally I wore hats everywhere. I honestly stumbled across SMP by accident. Found some YouTube videos, saw some really great SMP's and some not-so-great. But it peaked my interested and I started researching. At some point I knew SMP would be the route I'd take, and hoped it'd be a solution l. Eventually I started looking at the different providers in Houston and came across two options: Scalpp with Ian, or Scalp Micro USA with Graig. Ultimately I chose Ian because of his amazing portfolio and all of the very positive reviews he has. I made the right choice. I am sure Graig is great, but Ian is officially my guy. He is SO good at what he does and is actually an artist in his spare time as well. Ian is and will be just as dedicated as you are to get the result you want. He makes it fun too! Our sessions are actually a treat for me because he's a great conversationalist and super funny. The results have been nothing short of amazing, and it feels fantastic to see a "hairline" again.
