I can't say enough great things about our experience fishing with Captain Don and his First Mate,…read moreMike but would like to share why booking a trip with Labrador Fishing Charters was so fantastic for myself and my 10 year old son. The guys were great with my son and made us both feel welcome. They're both great with kids! I booked 3 hours (more than enough time) and we departed from Scituate at 4pm. In no time, he caught 2 big bluefish, and we ended up with 6. He also had a fun time hauling in lobster pots and driving the boat. We took two lobsters home for dinner, along with some fish. The ride back was awesome as well. I told him, "this is the type of day you'll always remember". I know I will, and that this is going to be something we do for years with Labrador. Thanks, Doug and Mike!

Very unhappy. Clearly understaffed and totally unreliable with service timelines…read more A month into the season and my boat is not in the water for Memorial Day weekend. The slip rental is supposed to start on May 1. Despite being able to operate the boat in the fall and having the team do a considerable amount of work over the winter (without everything being put back together yet as of this week), today I find out about a new purported problem that will delay launch. Even if this is the case - even if my engine was total trash (which isn't the case) - I should not be first finding out about it a month into the season after having proactive winter work done. The marina is becoming "closed" without letting outside vendors/mechanics do work on the boats there. I shudder to think how much time I'll waste dealing with unreliable information and delays. The marina was already unhappy that I had someone put a sound system in (which took less than 2 weeks and was on time). When would the marina have gotten to that - October?

It was late October, and weather was pretty cold, so we did not catch anything that day. But got a lot from this trip - it was quiet and peaceful, there were nobody except us in the ocean, it was nice just being there, chat with Captain David and enjoy beautiful nature around. WE have 2 daughters with us - 12 and 2 yo and Captian David said she was his youngest passenger so far. From my side just want to add, that both daughters had blast during the trip, no problems with 2 yo at all! Captain David, thank you so much for the great time and for the wonderful day you made for our family. we will definitely come back again when season is ore appropriate for fishing and weather is slightly warmer!))))) Strongly recommend to everybody!

It was an absolutely breathtaking experience. We started…read morewith a friendly introduction with Captain David. Then, we hopped in the boat and started off. For the first ten or fifteen minutes, we took it slow so we got to enjoy the fresh air and amazing views of Quincy from the waters. Feeling the freedom it gives you is incredible. Then, things ramped up a bit and we started going faster towards the city of Boston. Captain David gave us the sailors history of Boston. He was extremely knowledgeable about the waters, islands, and even the local fishing. As we were rapidly going across the water to Boston, he was able to identify multiple islands and give us the fascinating history behind each individual one. As we got closer to Boston the views really started to become breathtaking. We started taking it slow again and sailed next to the city of Boston. Being able to look up and see skyscrapers from the water was absolutely beautiful. He took us around the city, up to the north end, and then kept going up the shoreline. We got to see where the Boston Tea Party took place and got all sorts of amazing history. Eventually, we went back out and sailed around some of the islands. He was able to show us the beautiful history surrounding the islands. Bunkers, training camps, and all sorts of fascinating things. Eventually, the sun started to set and we were given the view of a lifetime. Water was calm, nobody nearby, we were treated with the most beautiful (almost fantasy like) view I've ever had. After stopping for a bit to enjoy the view we were boated back. We rented an AirBnB in Withdrop and took an Uber to Quincy where we met Captain David. After he found out, he decided to boat us back to Withdrop and let us off right next to our house. This completely saved us time and money. David went above and beyond expectations and we were treated to the experience of a lifetime. Due to Covid, he is limiting the number of people on his boat so we had a totally private experience. He also stated he cleans regularly too. Masks are not required on the water so you can still enjoy the fresh ocean air. I had an amazing time and I highly recommend to everybody.
