This place can be easily missed if you're along Sucat road because it's quite discreet-looking and has no parking. But inside is a different story--the vibe is reminiscent of Bellini's. It's cozy, homey, and filled with Italian-themed decor, a leaning tower of Pisa, and so on. You'll forget that you're in bustling, polluted Sucat road! We got the Aglia Oglio Pasta, and a Mushroom Risotto (that they made vegan just for me! Just ask nicely). Both dishes were really topnotch and exceeded our expectations (though to be honest, we had none at this particular time. I mean, any meal after a 10-hour trip from Vigan, Ilocos will be satisfying). Their servers are very accommodating, and at that time they were offering us these really fresh, gigantic portobello mushrooms they had that looked so tempting (but were quite pricey--though to be honest, I STILL think about that moment. What if we had gotten those mushrooms?!?! WHAT IF). Just like Bellini's, at the end of your meal you are treated to a complimentary jigger of Italian sweet wine. Bellisimo!

It was cooked medium and I guess I shouldn't ordered medium to begin with and a steak on a filipino guised italian restaurant. We visited it for our anniversary, and the Italian bistro interior was truly captivating. They had some watercolor advertisement prints, a nice wine rack, and other touches to sell the bistro atmosphere. The supervisor, Mark, was extremely engaging, and along with our server, Aira, made sure that our visit was stellar. We enjoyed talking with Mark very much. We chose to eat the spinach and artichoke dip, the mozzarella sticks, and two fourteen-inch pizzas. I LOVED the pepperoni pizza. It had a spicy, addictive sauce that really gave it oomph. The assorted meat pizza was great, but I'm not the biggest fan of Canadian bacon. It was still delicious but didn't wow me as much as the pepperoni did. The thin crust delivered on its promise: tender dough under the toppings with a crisp, cracker like crust. We truly enjoyed the experience. The dip had this baked cheese crust that really elevated the taste, and was served with fluffy, flour tortilla, fried chips. This dish was my second favorite next to the pepperoni pizza. The mozzarella sticks were also amazing, with what seemed like hand breading. I'm used to the kind of mozzarella sticks you get in diners, so these sticks tasted a bit... classier? I think that's how I'd describe it. Anyway, I invite you to give Mama Lous in the Nuvali Solenad Mall a try. I think you'll be happy you visited.

What a bummer to end a visit this way…read more This is where I had my last meal at the end of my stay. I decided to spend my last day before going back home to L.A. with my aunt's family doing errands. The last item on the day's agenda happened to be in this area. We spent some time debating where to eat dinner. My choice was located elsewhere, but the rest of the party were tired and hungry and didn't want to spend more time driving so the final decision was based on what was closest to us. This is what was closest to us. Luckily, there wasn't much of a wait even though it was a weekend night. I had a beer as soon as we sat down. Their ordering system was convenient enough. You scan a barcode and pick everything you want then send the order over. Half of the party wanted the steak, but there was only one serving left so my two cousins let me have it. Such gentlemen they are. Our orders came at different times. First up was mine. In the interest of politeness, I decided not to eat my food since no one else had theirs. My cousins got theirs and they started eating so I decided to jump in. My uncle eventually got his order. My aunt who ordered salmon which in my opinion is the fastest to make still hadn't gotten her order. We followed up with the guy working the front and all he could say was that it was coming. My cousin was annoyed and complained. It just made no sense how much longer it took. We all felt so bad that we were nearly done with our plates by the time my aunt's food arrived. That's not even the kicker. That's not even the kicker. They brought over another plate of salmon. My cousin corrected them and let the guy know we only ordered one so they took it off the bill. They decided to give it to is for free as consolation for all the troubles. It was a nice move. The guy ended up saying the reason the kitchen was backed up was because they had an abundance of delivery orders. That was such a copout, but it was what it was. It's a damn shame because the food was decent. I ate all of mine. They cooked it perfectly. I've always known Filipinos to do meat well done, but I asked for it rare and they delivered.

I found this branch most interesting when I used to walk by and notice the signage "Papa Lou's" instead of "Mama Lou's." FOOD Pan Fried Beef Scaloppine and Mama Lou's Special Pizza were our choices of the day. All veggies were refreshing and slightly crunchy especially the alfalfa and arugula! Quality of the prosciutto was spot on and the mangoes were just as refreshing as the veggies, making the pizza a good mix of hot and cold. Pizza was highly addictive and easy to finish due to the thin crust. Mashed potatoes were typically good and I think their service water might've had a hint of lemon. SERVICE Servers were proactive in giving us more free bread and I like that they left an order slip on our table; it's good for tracking. VAT-inclusive but Service Charge to be added.
