Backyard Kitchen positions itself as a hip place to dine and have a good time with Lunch Special starting from 249 available from 11 am to 2pm and 12mn to 2am daily. GOOD VALUE SETS Big Lunch Set (249 PHP) Baked Potato Soup + Honey Balsamic Salad + Pulled Pork Belly (or Adobong Duck Rice) The baked potato soup was thick with a nice grainy texture from the potato, less creamy. The salad contained fresh greens and a good amount of balsamic vinegar, it's a simple salad that works well with the et. The pulled pork belly was savoury, filling in serving and taste, topped with a fried egg. SERVICE Servers were welcoming and despite their skeletal force during my visit, they managed to entertain my needs smoothly. AMBIANCE The centrepiece bar dominates the place, surrounding it is a good variety of tables with comfortable booths good for 6 and standard tables. They have a TVs for sports, perfect for afterwork chilling.

Since its soft opening, my family and I have been fans of Trattoria Poggio Antico. By now, I think…read moretheir restaurant manager already knows by heart our favourites. Save for the pizza, because we like to mix it up every now and then. It starts with Zuppa di Funghi (Mushroom soup, P205) that goes well with Carpaccio di Manzo (P305), Tagliatelle con Prosciutto e Tartufo (P485), Tagliatelle alla Carbonara (P290) and Salmone (Pizza with smoked salmon, P620). For Mother's Day we mixed it up with Rib Eye Angus Beef Pizza (P790). My family and I could forgo with the pizza, soup and carbonara but we cannot leave this place without ever eating Carpaccio di Manzo and Tagliatelle con Prosciutto e Tartufo. But we're kidding about forgoing pizza, soup and carbonara. That will never happen! You want a full-on Italian experience, you have to take the necessary steps from minestres to antipastis to pastas to pizze and dolcis. But can I just talk about Carpaccio di Manzo and Tagliatelle con Prosciutto e Tartufo again? As someone with Crohn's, food can be a little difficult. It's always hit or miss. So I'm always cautious about food. However, since I'm guaranteed the best of the best by their head chef (they don't serve dishes if their ingredients are not at par with their standards), the thinly sliced tenderloin of their Carpaccio di Manzo melts in your mouth so effortlessly. It goes well with the arugula, olive oil, parmesan and white button mushroom. Trattoria Poggio Antico promises authenticity with their food. They even make their own pasta! My first try with Tagliatelle con Prosciutto e Tartufo (yes, they like their long food names here) was love at first taste! I never looked back and remains to be one of my favourite pasta dishes after my Mom's home-made carbonara! It's a flat green pasta with parma ham, button mushroom in truffle sauce. I know I will think about this before I go to bed. Oh, sweet Tagliatelle.

We ordered the "family meal"?? which contain a rice with ribs and chicken breast, pizza, 2 salads, 2 varieties of pasta, and 4 iced tea. The pasta taste good i think one of them was the Pollo Pizzamente, the other pasta i totally forgot what kind, we ordered the Mona Liza pizza to go with it too and orange juice for me, and some calamari (i like how they make their calamari). The orange juice taste different but not in a bad way, i like it! it looks like pineapple juice but it taste like orange. Service was good and the staff were very helpful with our inquiries. For the dessert we ordered tiramisu however after tasting a little of it we learned that it has whiskey in it so i had to order a different dessert for myself. Overall my friends and i enjoyed the service, the food, and the ambiance.

Our server was quite honest emto inform me that they made a mistake in serving us the regular size of their Beetroot Salad & immediately replaced it with the family size or to share size. I ordered their 27-inch Quattro Staggioni Pizza; Mussels, of course the large size; Large Calamari; & 2 slices of their Pork Chop dish. The soup of the Mussels was extremely salty & the Manager replaced it with a fresh new serving. It was still salty, but I just accepted it. Kudos to their honesty & service. Then last Sunday, April 18, I ordered the same huge pizza, a to-share or family-size Pomelo Shrimp Salad; & a Large Lasagna. I noticed that the Salad didn't look like it's the large size, but I didn't put much thought to it so as not to ruin the atmosphere, since we were having a nice, pleasant birthday dinner for my niece who just had her second baby girl in April 12. I ended up rationing the salad to just have enough for each one for a family of 5! I thought that's pathetic. As you see, I am not frugal when I buy dinner. I always order for 8 but we're only actually 4 to 5, at the most. With this, I'm taking my family instead to another great Italian Restaurant. There are many around here in the Pasig area and we're just 5 minutes away from BGC. There's A Mano Restaurant, which is excellent ; & another Italian Restaurant which serves their dishes like it's home-cooked! Moving on & headed forward ...

Luckily it was just walking distance from where me and my family were staying in BGC. I remember during quarantine in 2021, my friend sent me the roasted chicken and since then I couldn't get over the juiciness and flavors of it. So I had to order it for myself this time. The veggies that come along with it and the sauce is so flavorful. Kind of wish the chicken was bigger because it's just that good! The pizza was okay not the best I've had but it was a nice snack to try. I didn't get to try the pasta because I was just really into my chicken. I'd only recommend this place if you want to try it. It's quite pricey for the portions but it is an authentic Italian restaurant out here in the Philippines. The interior is quite nice and they do have outdoor seating. However the time we came it was excruciatingly humid. So we dined inside. Service was good. The staffs were quite attentive and can speak English to help those who don't speak Tagalog. I see why my friends would rave about the chicken though. I do recommend that as something to try.
