He takes the time to discuss with you different treatment options and explains his diagnosis. He is great on following up on your appointment and actually calls you back if you have a question, or with test results. Average wait time is about 20-30 minutes to see him but it is worth it. He is based out of South Suburban hospital and Silver Cross hospital.

As I entered a patient room, I instantly knew I would never return. Not only did I hear personal information about other patients via the loud voices in the hallway as I waited, but in looking at my surroundings, I was thankful I wasn't there for a pap smear or anything else that would entail the use of their medical equipment. Dr. Rita Woods was a little gruff to start, perhaps as a result of being rushed through her appointments. Regardless, it wasn't a very good first impression & only solidified my initial thought of never returning as a patient again. Overall, when a patient thinks they're being "punked" from beginning to end, that's a good sign that it's time to write a review, in hopes that no one else will waste their time scheduling an appointment. It doesn't take a genius to determine your practice needs HELP & it would be worth the investment to hire a few maids, a decorator, AND an advisor to assist with the repair of your many flaws.

The receptionist for one of those unavailable doctors recommended Dr. Saleem Shahzad, MD. The best Reader's Digest review, friendly, knowledgeable professionals from start to finish: - Chris scheduled my appointment on the phone. She was every bit as nice and friendly when I arrived for my appointment. - Carolyn is the RMA who made me feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning of my exam. - Dr. Shahzad picked up right where Carolyn left off. He confirmed that I needed treatment for an upper respiratory infection and arranged for a prescription at my pharmacy close to home. What I don't understand is why Dr. Shahzad's score on the United Healthcare site is only 3 stars? This was the best experience I've ever had at a medical facility. I recommend Dr. Shahzad and his frontline support staff without reserve. Dr. Shahzad graduated in the top quarter of his Class of 1988 from the prestigious Jinnah Sindh Medical University. Unlike our phony baloney US President, I believe he really did graduate at the top of his class!

I don't expect much but the basics when it comes to medical treatment. When I went for my physical the staff did not check my blood, take a temp or nothing. The doctor came in and bragged about his fame and asked me how I was feeling... I was done that quick. My wife got one better, she was done in one minute after me. In follow-up for a chronic condition, he basically didn't want to assist my wife and enjoyed taking the co-pays only. Rip off... sorry that others in the south suburbs don't use yelp or just accept poor care quality.
