The food is incredible AND don't forget the drinks! They appear to be made fresh and are WAY better than the packaged cans/bottles you can buy. I'm still dreaming about the pineapple-ginger and the tea. Notes on location: we went in the afternoon and decided to take the food home because there was no shade. There are picnic benches. Also, great clothing store nearby with beautiful earrings.

I came to the taco truck on Rodney Parham Road for a lunch date…read more I spent $35 on 6 tacos and 2 sides of elote. I would say the value was fair if not good. The food was good, I have had better before, but I regularly try new Mexican restaurants and trucks. The Birria tacos were pretty good, not great. The meat was average, the cheese was melted nicely, sauce was also good. The elote was okay. I think it needed more cheese. I wasn't blown away, but I was far from disappointed. Meal was a solid 7.5/10 I'd like to try the other tacos if I come back. The $2.50/piece tacos could make it a prime lunch spot if they're also good. If you're looking for a good taco spot I'd give it a try! If you're really a taco snob, you'll probably think they're a decent option. I would eat there again!

Since we already ate another meal that left me unsatisfied and truly disappointed I really needed to fulfill that urge for a good Birria taco . This did not disappoint. Bombbbbb! Fresh. Hot! My birth mother got the same thing as me and hers turned out okay, but I still wasn't thrilled with the product. When I had returned to ask for them to be cooked more thoroughly, the gentleman who had prepared them was gone. Overall, I think people really like this place, but clearly I wasn't on the same page as everyone else. The only redeeming quality I found was the rice was flavorful that I ate off my birth mom's plate. Ugh.

The fried rice side was ok...just tasted like a bunch of saffron oil. The spicy potato side, what a punch of flavor! I love garlic, but good night, that was garlic-y! And very spicy. When I had previously heard about baleadas, it was primarily in the context of the sencilla (simple) variety - traditionally had for breakfast and filled with just cheese and beans, almost like a pupusa with lighter dough. Here, I tried what I assume to be a more updated take on the dish, filled to a voluminous extent with avocado, plantain, and a protein of your choice (cauliflower for me). It was a delicious, filling meal in lively environs that I would certainly visit again.

The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. Honestly, it may be the cleanest restaurant in Little Rock. Feeding three people for $38.38 also feels incredible in today's world. I ordered the Catrina Bowl ($10.95) with half chicken and half chorizo. It was great: fresh ingredients, generous portions, and plenty of flavor. With a place like this so close, why go to Moe's or Chipotle? The Loco Burrito ($10.95) was spot-on too well-portioned and flavorful. The kid ordered fries, which you probably wouldn't expect to be the highlight at a Mexican restaurant, but they were good enough to make the kids happy. No one's perfect, and I save five stars for life-changing restaurants, not just places that are better than average. Catrina Taqueria is absolutely worth a stop. Go support a local restaurant!
