This food truck is one of my favorite places to go on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The jollof rice, fried plantains dibi lamb and Black Eyed Peas stew is my favorite go to. They are only open up on the weekends, but it is definitely worth the wait. The service has to be top-tier. They are so respectable and nice every time I come. The weight is only about 10 to 15 minutes, but the food always comes out fresh.

Jerk chicken, jollof rice, plantains, and curry cabbage

Piri Piri chicken and Jollof rice, with a side of plantains

If you're looking for food that's more than just a meal, this place offers a true culinary experience! I tried the Piri Piri chicken on a bed of Jollof rice, with a side of plantains, AMAZING!! The chicken was spicy, but not too much, and the rice very aromatic, each bite takes you on culinary trip! Their homemade drinks are phenomenal; the Ginger Pineapple was my favorite, but I also loved the Bissap (hibiscus & mint), and the Mango Lemonade, I ended up taking a bunch of them to enjoy later since they come conveniently bottled. The best African food I ever tried!!

Oh. My. God. Wow! Saw this place on my way to eat Chinese and I couldn't help myself but to stop. Sorry Mr Chen's but this was a change of mind I do not regret. I've had Ethiopian food before and loved it, so wanted to give this Senegalese cuisine a try. It was absolutely incredible! The spices of the Suya chicken were delicious, the chicken cooked perfectly with so much flavor, and my goodness that Jollof rice was to die for. I'll definitely be coming back!

Crepe Coop was one of the 70 food trucks that participated in the 2025 Downtown Food Truck…read moreFestival. I met a couple at my hotel who told me about them. I was in search of a breakfast/brunch option when I happened to spot their truck and decided to give them a try. They offer both sweet and savory crepes. They had a few savory offerings including the Caramelized Bacon Crepe which was perfect for my brunch craving. It had brown sugar bacon, spinach, mozzarella, and scrambled eggs. They gave me a pager after ordering. I started to walk around the festival thinking it would be a long wait, but it couldn't have been more than 5 minutes at most when the pager went off. The crepe was so good! The crepe itself was soft with crispy edges. The bacon was sweet, salty, smoky, and savory which I absolutely loved! It was so delicious and filling and held me over for most of the day. In addition to crepes, they sell cookie butter beignets as well as tea and lemonade. I'm kind of bummed I didn't try one of their beignets (the photos on IG look divine)! What a great discovery! If I have the opportunity to visit Little Rock again, I'll seek them out so I can try one of the beignets!

My friends and I tried the Sriracha aioli and the Pesto crepes and WOW! A perfect blend of crisp mozzarella mixed with savory chicken and some spinach. Both were absolutely delightful. Definitely a big hit and we'll be returning to that truck all week!!! Oh the pink lemonade is refreshing too. Big hit!! 5 STARS

The staff is very communicative if something comes up with your order. They have called me multiple times to ensure that I'm happy with my order. This is always appreciated. Excellent customer service! Whether I am eating a pescatarian or vegetarian diet, Kontiki has the perfect lunch menu options. The menu is small but mighty. I have tried their spinach & mushrooms, the tilapia, the plantains, and of course the jollof rice. I even tried the oxtails once but didn't finish them simply because I don't really eat beef. But there was a yummy sauce over the oxtails that I used on my jollof rice and it was soooooo good. Actually all of the rice dishes I've tried come with a really tasty pepper sauce that I love. In general, everything I've tried has been delicious and I am a happy customer. If you are a fan of African or other ethnic foods, definitely give Kontiki a try.

Almost $100 down the drain! Not to mention, there was hair in my oxtail soup (pic is shown). Only thing was good was the rice that came with the oxtail. I just threw the whole order away. Overall the people were nice, but don't waste your money. Maybe I came on a bad day, I don't know.
