The owners are very nice and friendly and it's better than the two other places nearby that I've brought my belongings to, but my clothes mostly smell of burnt / over drying and not the dryer sheets I bring for them to use. They only lost one thing in the 9 months I've used them which is better than the last place who lost 6 pairs of my socks and gave me someone else's. This laundromat's service is extremely poor. I've been using them for months and always give instructions to not dry my work clothes. Picked up my laundry this evening and discovered they dried most my laundry. All of my work clothes are have shrunk and will not be going to back to this laundromat again. read more

Absolutely love this laundromat!! I started going here a few months ago for their Wash and Fold service after having a terrible experience at a different laundromat. Needless to say, I am so glad that I switched to Saxon Laundromat! All the staff that I have interacted with are super friendly and already after a little while they know me by name! Seriously AMAZING! I dropped my laundry off and picked it up 3 hours later. Simon and Al were both super friendly and were both truly concerned with my requests. Honestly one of the most friendly staff I've encountered in NY. I wanted everything washed on delicate and some stuff hanged dried and the rest dried on low. I was confident they were going to meet my request and they sure did. My clothes smelled amazing when I picked them up. I was expecting the prices to be outrageous but they were completely reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place for its service, customer service and the care and pride they took in my laundry. I will be going back! read more

Since moving to Bay Shore I am unable to have a washer/dryer. Today I was SO HAPPY to call Saxon Laundry and speak with Jenny. I brought my own Free & Clear pods and dryer sheets. After reading the reviews, I was convinced to travel the 20 minutes to get my two full size comforters laundered by the staff and returned to me later in the day. As promised, the comforters were ready at 1pm, bright and clean and perfectly dry and fluffy and folded neatly in a clear bag. Saxon laundromat is officially my go to laundromat. Simon is so nice, as well as the women working there. I use the drop off service and it has literally changed my life. Either I drop off my laundry before work and pick it up on the way home or I'll drop it off and Simon will text me when it's ready. Laundry always smells great and folded impeccably. Based on the other wonderful reviews, I drove quite far out of my way to patronize this laundromat. At first, everything was fine and pretty much in keeping with what the reviews said and I was happy. HOWEVER, AFTER THEY DAMAGED SEVERAL ARTICLES OF MINE, ALL THAT CHANGED! I don't know how or what it was that they got all over my husband's pants, shiorts, and some of my shirts, but when we unfolded them we discovered black grease (or maybe ink) splatter and smear marks in numerous places. They were quite certain that they were NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE and implied that the marks must of been there to begin with, which is interesting because Simon also said that he never saw them when they were being folded. He even suggested that the shorts were' even in that load. The first few things we returned to him, he attempted to rewash and improve. The load that was damaged was over 40 pounds, and we didn't find everything at first. When I brought back another similarly damaged shirt of mine to be treated, Simon wasn't there, so I just left it with a nice message and another load of towels. Today when we went to pick it up, the towels had not been washed, nor had any attempt been made to remove the stains that they caused! They even told the employee not to wash our towels! BOTTOM LINE...THEY TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE THEY CAUSE!!! Everybody makes mistakes, but what you do about them tells volumes about your character. read more
