Everyone is dressed up in character which really helps make you feel immersed. There are loads of actors and performers all around the place, and tons and tons of shopping to be done. We saw the archery show which was....ok. It was cool to see them competing with each other, but it was literally impossible to tell which arrow belonged to who. My suggestion would be to attack a big colorful string or change the color of the arrows to match each contestant. We were left confused as to who was winning the entire time because of it. Nobody was mic'd either so it really was silent in terms of the arena. Next we saw the jousting show which was really fun. Tons of theatrics, horses, fighting, and crowd work! That was a good time. Then we went to walk around and catch some of the smaller shows. The majority of this Faire was just vendors selling things. I love events like the Oddities and Curiosities Expo which bring in tons of vendors showing off stuff I literally have never seen before, and I have a huge impulsive feeling to buy. I didn't get that once at this faire. Sure there was some cool stuff but it really wasn't anything that I felt like I needed to buy. Some soaps, crystals, swords, books, and disgustingly a stall selling AI artwork. Some vendors really did have some cool stuff like handmade clothing that was too far out of my budget, but I would love if I were rich. Lines were insanely long so we didn't eat or drink anything here, but it looked ok in terms of food. I just wish there were some unique vendors here or other things to do like games and events that you can partake in. Overall it's not a place you're going to spend the entire day at, but it's fun to kill a couple of hours in costume. We'll most likely be back next year, I just wish it was a bit more "wow" like others I've seen.

When I was looking for new theater's within the area, I found this company through a Facebook…read moreactor's group and saw that they were holding auditions for The Prince of Egypt (a movie I adore) and even though this is a Christian ministry (don't let that fool you!), it is an amazing company! Once I walked in to my audition for The Prince of Egypt, my mouth fell to the floor, I was so impressed with the group of people I came across. The staff was so welcoming, including the incredible crew on this production. Now, that I am a part of the Royal Stage family, despite not being a Christian, I absolutely love this theatre company and they make quality productions. If you want to see a show or work with a theatre company, Royal Stage is the place! Everything about this company is nothing short of great!

My two kids have been at Hawkins for almost 2 months now. My son takes acting class (great teacher…read moreby the way!) and my daughter is taking a theatre dance class. Both kids love this place and look forward to attending their class. The staff are nice, helpful, and the property is beautiful. There is a small area near the acting room so that my little one can play while her brother takes his class. There's a table and chairs for family to sit. Hawkins continues to be one of the premier dance and performing arts schools in N. California. The teachers are excellent and go out of their way to get to know the students and work with them as individuals. For kids more serious about dance or musical theatre, the troupes and companies enable them to get more specialized instruction, as well as several performance opportunities during the year. On a couple of occasions we traveled and performed in the Choreographers festival in Palm Desert, California, where many of the top programs are invited each year. Highly recommend.

For shows, they are paired up with buddies who can walk them through the process or send them encouraging notes, etc. they focus on character development, and how kids learn what I would consider to be important qualities, such as discipline, resilience, kindness, etc. Even the parents get to join in on the fun, as parent involvement/volunteering is required for shows. I've really enjoyed connecting with other theater moms and dads and working together on parent teams. I also like that parents are not involved in the classes. That means if your kid wants to do theater and you don't have the time to volunteer, you still have options for them. The teachers are passionate and highly capable. From what I've seen, they are immensely talented in their own fields. Each time one of my children takes a class, they definitely come away knowing more than they went in knowing, and it shows in their performances. Our oldest child has been involved with CYT over the past couple of years, and we have seen great growth in her singing and dance abilities, as well as her drive and work-ethic. We're definitely excited to introduce the siblings to CYT.

I was not able to book online thru my phone because the website was very confusing and I was not able to click on anything so Ana confirmed everything thru Instagram DMs. On the day of my bday, I showed up on time and waited for 20 min. Didn't see anyone in the studio. I messaged her on insta a couple of times as well as called the phone number. No response. Eventually the message shows it's been read.....After leaving, I got a missed call but I was busy driving so I couldn't pick up. Still at this point no voicemail. No response. I was very upset because it was a bday present I asked my bf to take me dancing. I bought a dress and spent my time getting dolled up just to stay outside waiting in the dark. It's very unfortunate this had happened because I love Ana's style of dance and was looking forward to it. All she could have done is reply back to me that she forgot or got the dates wrong.
