Sandy was amazing! Best massage I've had in a long time. She was very sweet and professional. I will definitely be back.

She has seen both Lewis and Sandy, a married couple who are both incredibly good at what they do and also very sweet people.

I wanted to surprise my mom and aunt with a spa day for Christmas. I wasn't sure how comfortable…read morethey would be, so I wanted to take them to a black-owned location, not too far from town. I found Ma'ati Spa online and was pleased, initially, because they show diversity in their images on the website. They were also offering serious discounts, so I was able to book online: a couples massage package for my mom and aunt and a massage+ for myself. I called to schedule the appointment and had no problem in after Christmas on short notice. Pros: Staff was very friend, helpful, accommodating, and skilled. Not everyone is a chatterbox (my aunt enjoyed having her services explained; my mom enjoyed the quiet). The deep tissue massage with Dominic is BOMB! Get that. I found the decor lovely and want to visit in the summer so I can enjoy the outside area. Street parking was free and plentiful. Cons: They don't offer robes and slippers for every guest, which was off-putting for my mom. The facial steam is so-so. I think it's free, but I wouldn't pay for it. The foot reflexology was uninspired. It just felt like a foot massage and I was expecting something more from the description online. The music in the waiting area can get a little loud, if you are having a service in the front room, and throw off the mellow vibe. Tips: If you go during the winter, do NOT get a mud body wrap! I thought mud = warm. NO! The clay is cold, the room I was in was cold and I was freezing while she applied the mud (even when they turned the heat up). It was incredibly uncomfortable and I would not recommend it during cold-winter months. (2) Find out where you should report for your appointment. There are two entrances and it's disconcerting to enter at the top level, have wine and a face stream and then go back out into the cold to get to the lower level for the services. (3) There is no ramp on the walkway down to the lower level, so watch your step! (4) Tipping! I didn't know how much customary. I was told 10%. I tipped more (since the services were offered at a discount anyway and my mom and aunt enjoyed themselves). Verdict: I will definitely visit again and may make this an annual thing for my mom and aunt It was an excellent, well-received gift. Book services when they're offering a sale, enjoy yourself, and tip well!

I should've read the Yelp reviews first…read more.. I too, purchased a Groupon for a Couples Massage a solid 4-5 months ago, and the earliest available appointment was December (which I learned after calling and leaving messages 4-5 times). Anywho, we scheduled for today. Our appointment was at 6pm, and about 5:30 I received a text saying they were running 20 mins late. At least they provided a heads up, but was super annoying when I had already left work early due to their time constraints. We arrived after 6, to be informed "your appointment was at 6." Clearly The girl who checked us in had no idea about the text. We were told to sit in the lobby, an older lady put a tray if hot towels in between us, she said to let them cool. She came back a few minutes later asking if we had neck tension or wanted a hot towel on our necks, we said yes and she informed us "you should've done that when I brought the towels over". We waited for a bit for our massage, and they took us to their "lower level"-out the front door and through the alley. We were given a room with the bathroom connected, which was nice. I explained that my right shoulder was super tight. I was only given a poor quality sheet-no blanket or bed warmer and it was so cold. The masseuse squirted the oil directly on to me instead of in his hands first. He did nothing to work out the tension in my shoulder-I think at times he had no clue what to do. Our one hour massage (that was late) lasted about 40 minutes. We were then offered aromatherapy that takes "about 3 extra minutes". We agreed to do that...the water took 7-8 minutes to warm up, then we had probably 2 minutes to enjoy it. We still tipped appropriately, but I'll stick to my Massage Envy membership and won't return for another visit. I hope they treat their non-Groupon folks much better.

This local gem has moved to a new spot! While it is a smaller space (due to their old building…read morebeing sold) I assure you the location is the only change. The Bella Mia girls have done a great job adding warmth to this space and the services they offer are as spectacular as ever. There is ample parking around this building. You just need to take the elevator up a floor to be brought to their lobby. There is still a space for manicures, pedicures, facial, waxing, massage, and more. No longer does hair. Shelves are filled with fun and functional products and gift certificates available for sale at the front desk so friends and family can come to love this place too. On this visit I had a custom facial with Susan. She always makes my skin feel 1000% better than it was before. I'm typically very dry and left hydrated and with much needed waxed eyebrows. You can just feel her years of experience. I also had a great massage. I remember being woke up at the end, so clearly it knocked me out! It's a bit of a drive to get here with where I live now but it is worth it (and my friends agree). We all do so much and need some "me time." You can always get this much needed care and relaxation at Bella Mia. While I loved the old spot, I am happy that Bella Mia has found a new home without compromising their quality. Call and make yourself an appointment to check out their new location!

My husband and I went to a Yelp event last year at Virtual Golf and were introduced to Susan and…read moreher group. We played golf with them. Whilst I was talking to her, she mentioned that she owned Bella Mia Skin Care Center that happened to be in the same area as Virtual Golf. It's been a while since I had a facial. The last time I had one was when we were living in Raleigh, 7 years ago, to be exact!! So, I told my husband to tell my kids (we have 2 grown sons and a daughter-in-law) that all I wanted for Christmas is a gift certificate from Bella Mia. Well, they delivered! This Momma was ecstatic, needless to say! Lol Finally got a chance to make an appointment with Gaby. I decided to have the "90 minute bliss". You all, the name of the service says it all! I wanted a facial but also want a massage. Well, I get to have both with the 90 minute bliss. It includes a deep cleansing facial, customized face mask, exfoliation treatment on hands and feet, and a relaxing neck, shoulder, hand, and foot massage. As soon as I entered I was greeted by the receptionist. I checked in and filled out a card since it was my first time. I wrote down all my skin concerns. Susan then took me to the treatment room. I felt in zen just by entering the room. The treatment bed was soooooo comfy and warm!! Susan explained everything what she's going to do. She's super nice and her voice's so calming! What a wonderful experience! Facial was awesome and I left feeling so relaxed! I told one of my friends who hadn't had a facial or massage to go with me next time to try it. We can have a "girls' day out" with facial, lunch and shopping. I highly recommend to give them a try if you haven't been here. They have a wide array of services available.
