5/5 - Always a Great Experience at Brockhaus in Norman…read more Every time I've visited Brockhaus, the owner and the sales team have been extremely courteous, kind, and genuinely informative. The customer service is consistently top-notch. I picked up a Tudor FXD from them brand new, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. I also sold them a vintage Rolex, and they were very fair with their offer. I combined that with some of my own money to purchase the Tudor, and I couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The store itself is clean and welcoming. On hot days they even offer cold water, which is a small touch but says a lot about how they treat their customers. Their selection of pre-owned watches is excellent--plenty of great pieces to look through. I haven't spent much time on the jewelry side, but the watch selection alone is worth the visit. Overall, Brockhaus is a solid place to buy or sell watches, and I've always left feeling well taken care of. Highly recommended.

The store is packed with OU goods from apparel to mugs, sports equipment, etc. Basically if it says OU on it Balfour will sell it. They also do a lot of business for the Greek system at OU. The store is in campus corner, so if you go during busy times parking is always an issue, which is no different than any other campus corner place. It is also full, and on big weekends (football games, graduation, etc) it feels crowded. I have never encountered an unfriendly employee at Balfour. There clearly is a reason it has been around this long. Highly recommended for locals or visitors to OU.

In a drunken haze, I stumbled into Balfour shedding tears I felt would never dry. Not only was it a dark day for Norman, but it was my darkest hour. I found a key chain I want to pass on to my children. It was the most existential experience I have had in my life. Go here. Shop here. Spend your life's savings here. Then go to O'Conns. Thank you.

Upon walking in the door I was greeted with several friendly faces and asked if I need help throughout my visit. I've always been a big fan of Louis Vuitton and I noticed that they sell pre-owned Louis Vuitton for a fraction of the cost so that is why I stopped in plus not to mention it is conveniently located in the shops where TJ Maxx target are. I am somewhat particular about the way I (don't) like to shop. Grocery shopping is left to someone…read moreelse as often as possible, I find very little pleasure in going from store to store just browsing to see if I can find something to buy, and I typically wrinkle my nose when I end up paying retail for an item second-guessing whether it could be found at a discount somewhere else. More often than not, I shop when I need something. And admittedly, I frequently shop online for convenience and cost-comparison purposes. Unless I am looking for something special... I relish in finding that special little something for friends and family, that item they didn't even know existed that will bring a smile or a warm fuzzy feeling or a hearty laugh. Artifactory, now sharing a roof with Sewciety (perfect match), is such a shop. Only a handful of shops *spark joy* the moment I think of them and this one tops my list! Artifactory has a truly unique selection of very reasonably priced items I am unlikely to find anywhere else and the owners make you feel extra-special because they remember the little details, your likes and dislikes. They have a beautifully curated collection--a blend of local and non-local items--old and new, practical and quirky, unique and creative. My spirits are lifted when I walk through the door. I feel a bit like a I did as a child looking through a favorite relative's hope chest or exploring all of the treasures in my grandmother's home imagining what my home would look like when I got big. Nostalgia and possibilities comingle. And every time my gaze rests on an item I acquired at Artifactory - that vintage map framed on the wall, the 1937 yearbook from the school down the street from my home, my "protest socks" my husband bought me for certain civic matters, or the locally made jellies and sauces that taste so amazing, I am grateful for this little treasure in Downtown Norman.
