From the moment we stepped onto campus, we knew this place was something special. Our daughter was once terrified of school and people. The loving staff went above and beyond to make her feel safe and welcomed, meeting us outside every morning just to walk her in with care and compassion. That kind of attention and heart is rare, and it meant the world to our family. This school has truly become our second home. The teachers are amazing! Loving, dedicated, and deeply invested in every child's growth both academically and spiritually. Under their guidance, our children have not only excelled in school and grown in confidence, but have also built a strong biblical foundation and a genuine relationship with Christ. The church is just as incredible. The pastor teaches directly from the Bible and is a truly wholesome man with strong morals and values. He leads with authenticity, love, and truth! It's had a lasting impact on our whole family. One of the most special moments in our journey was when my husband and I chose to be baptized by the pastor. It was such a meaningful and unforgettable experience for us. We also had the honor of serving in the church alongside so many amazing members who have helped shape and enrich our time in Arizona. We've formed deep, lifelong friendships through this community, and for that, we are forever grateful. The administration staff at the school has also been nothing short of wonderful. Always helpful, kind, and accommodating. While we're heartbroken to be moving out of state, we will carry Heart Cry Christian Academy and Church in our hearts forever. We can't recommend this place enough to any family seeking a Christ-centered, nurturing, and academically strong environment filled with genuine love, faith, and community.

Having that early start made the transition into Kinder so much easier--for him and for me--because he already knew the teachers, routines, and campus. We've truly loved every teacher he's had; they've all been so kind, caring, and supportive. I really appreciate how they not only focus on academics but also help with social situations, like when he's had little playground or line issues with friends. The growth I've seen in him has been incredible--he's already learning and doing so much more than I expected, thanks to the strong foundation he got in preschool and Pre-K. Most importantly, he's happy, confident, and loves coming to school each day. I couldn't ask for a better experience and am so excited to see how he continues to grow this year.

That was not our experience. Beneath the polished tours and Christian branding, leadership at this campus proved ineffective, dismissive, and unwilling to meaningfully address serious concerns raised by families. Many parents are drawn to a Christian school hoping to shield children from age-inappropriate influences; ironically, in our personal experience, our children were exposed to more inappropriate language and behavior here than they had been in a Chandler public school, with limited administrative response. Administration frequently emphasized high demand to attend, yet from our firsthand experience and conversations with other parents, just as many families appeared to be leaving. Academic quality and classroom professionalism raised serious questions about how teachers are hired, their qualifications, and why turnover seemed high. Tuition and a Christian label do not automatically guarantee a better education, stronger values, or responsible leadership. This review is shared in good faith to encourage families to look beyond appearances and ask direct questions about leadership accountability, discipline policies, teacher hiring practices, and retention before enrolling.

We have two children who attend this school, we have a 6th grader who has attended this school…read moresince kindergarten and now his sister who is a kindergartner is attending. It is very family oriented and you'll see families come together supporting the kids and teachers at any given event. Our kindergartner is autistic and she has fit in well and is flourishing there. The school provides a lot of resources and activities for the students. They have band, orchestra, student council, mathletes, a gifted and talented program, cool clubs for the kids like kickball club and card trading club and much more. Our kindergartener registered for soccer this past fall and basketball camp during Spring Break and has just had a blast. I love how I never feel awkward at events because there aren't any "clicks" amongst the parents and kids there. There is not a religious belief pushed on to the kids here either. The principal is always out walking around and engaging with students and parents every day and has made time to discuss anything necessary when we have needed help. If you are looking for a school that will encourage your children to be the best version of themselves and to learn to make good choices...this is it. We ultimately as parents just want our kids to be kind, caring human beings in this world and this is the school that will promote that.

They recently expanded on the property with their new building, as attendance has continued to increase. I think people get the wrong idea about a church when part of the message includes tithing, which reveals the true believers from the posers, as we are to give with an open heart. Even though it is a recurring message here at this church, they are never hostile or pushy about it. The new building was funded through the church, a body of believers, and was navigated through much economic turmoil, i.e. banks rejecting loans or attending church-goers' giving being reduced for any number of reasons. I think that says a lot about God's power and how his Holy Spirit is working at this church. There have been many victories along the way! It is BY FAR one of the most alive churches I have had the privilege of being a part of, even though I am not currently in a serving role. For me, one of the most uplifting parts to my soul is hearing biblically based songs being sung by the church, young and old alike, and feeling the Holy Spirit pull me closer to God with every word that I sing. This weekend I was diverted from my usual route to St. Anne's in Gilbert. Get there early if you…read morewant a good parking spot and avoid the small traffic jam into the parking lot. Like many churches in the valley, you're able to see more of the church from its parking lot than from the street. As I walked in, I was struck by two things: the silence and reverence that was occasionally pierced by the scream of a baby and the way in which your eyes are immediately drawn to the center of the sanctuary with a large painted icon of the Good Shepherd. Christ the Good Shepherd is flanked by statues of St. Anne and St. Joachim. The tabernacle is in the traditional place with sanctuary candles burning. The procession started with half of a "platoon" of altar boys. Most people kneel at the communion rail for Holy Communion. There are some EMHC but they're more of an afterthought than an integral part. One comes away with a simple take away of St. Anne's Catholic Church. That this is a crying Church, and one with a good future. As the saying goes, "IF CHILDREN ARE NOT CRYING, THE CHURCH IS DYING".
