I want to know why they closed the fitting rooms? My granddaughter needed to buy some jeans. She found 3 pairs she liked however because she could not try them on we didn't buy them. The tops she tried on in the aisle over her shirt. We saw other people trying on things in the aisles too, They need fitting rooms, Not just for customers but also for the fact they probably would sell more. Also she was visiting so to return the jeans would've been a hassle and the credit wouldn't have been good for us. read more

This place is a joke, merchandise is over priced for a place that receives everything by donation. Saw some items marked for the same price as going to a retail store. Do yourself a favor and find a real thrift store. Quoted me a price on an item that didn't have one and then when we decided to purchase, over doubled the price of the item. Looked the item up on Facebook marketplace and I can buy it for less. Would not recommend this location and don't plan on returning. read more

Prices are ridiculous and the clothes at this particular location are absolute trash. I saw a used bathing suit for $18.99. Used Target toddler dresses for $7.49 each. Do they not realize you can buy brand new for that price? Old Navy toddler t-shirt for $6.50? You can legit buy a brand new toddler t-shirt for $4.00 at Old Navy. Whoever is pricing doesn't realize that these things are cheaper brand new. Oh, and the shoe selection is vile. There are shoes on those racks that should have been thrown out long ago. The same albums I would pass on at $1.00 are still hovering around $3.99. I guess the extra-high price is for that special fragrance, Eau de Damp Cellar. Remember, guys, these records were donated. You paid nothing for them. Oh...also, don't put 78s out with the LPs either. They will break quickly, destroying their value and frustrating collectors who may want the record in question. I don't much care for the over-reliance on self-checkout lanes either. I will frequent the other Savers stores that don't exude such a greedy attitude. I will look in here from time to time, but will not spend anything until the atmosphere changes. read more

Every thrift store I've been to prior to my trip Savers has been affiliated with a non-profit (AmVets, Salvation Army etc). As a result the idea of a commercial thrift store is a little weird to me. Yeah the place is dirty but thats expected. There really werent any real finds at this location though. read more

I struck out with finding anything at Ocean State Job Lot, so I stopped in here to look for "treasures" to attempt avoiding wasting a trip to this entire plaza (even though there is barely anything left in this place...) Walking in, I thought it might be another strike out. Very interesting clientele, the word choices of customers around here and the way people act is quite comical, especially in this store, and very low stock of anything actually useful. Most of the stuff in the furniture section looked like it should be at the local dump. Now I get it, this is Savers, but at both of the Savers stores near my house (Norwood and West Roxbury), items seem in much better condition and actually valid for sale. DVD section was dreadful and clothing section wasn't great either. Book section was alright, and they had some cool board games (since when is their a Deal or No Deal board game! My favorite game show....). Nothing that was really a great bargain though. Weird "gift bags" behind the book section, that looked very skeptical. One of the gentlemen working here is very friendly and loves to talk with customers. For just that, I'll put my review up to 3 stars, but otherwise this is a below-average thrift store. The best thrift store I've ever been to is the Salvation Army in Northbridge on Rt 122A about thirty minutes from here, and if you get a chance to check it out, do so.... it's superb! read more

Although the staff is not very friendly, the selection is OK. I have never had a problem with "dirty or grungy." I feel like because it is second hand and in Woonsocket, most people give it a bad name. I know people well into 6 figures who shop here often. It's not just for "poor people." The one thing I really like is this: I work with kids with disabilities and we were looking for a place to let us volunteer. Not only did Savers open it's arms to us, they let 32 kids at once volunteer last year, and 15 this year. I would imagine it is a bit of a hassle to have 15 or 30 kids 14-18 year olds who have never worked before in their lives work in their store for 4 hours. Although we helped a lot, we also accidentally changed some things that weren't supposed to be changed. They were always willing to help and that's a lot to say about businesses these days. read more

Not gonna lie, this is the gem of all the Savers in the area I traverse to visit. In 6 months this Savers has bestowed upon me: Many Punk and New Wave records, several Express dresses for $4.99 a pop, a piece of Harvest Wheat pyrex (my pattern), rocks glasses with a gold wheat pattern, and best of all a COMPLETE WII. We're talking manuals, a stand, the motion sensor, nunchucks, everything. My best guy, who is a game chasing nerd got an NES R.O.B. here. Dunno why this Savers ends up with so many great items, but it's a delight! I highly suggest coming here early, as it is always jamming at this location, even the drop off spot usually has a line to make donations. read more

I really like this Savers and I've been to many. This store is always pretty clean, which says a lot about a thrift store. The selections that they have are really great-you can always score at least one good find every time. Clothing is organized by size which is really awesome, you don't have to go hunting around if you're short on time. I like the book selection too...buy four, get one free! The staff here is okay; there have been some nice ones and some pretty rude ones. I'm here often enough that I know which employees are a little "quick to anger." Overall, this is a pretty nice thrift store with some good finds waiting to be discovered. read more

This place has a surprising amount of clothing that's in great condition. You will seriously find at least one hidden gem every visit. I've heard the mens selections are lacking, but womens pants/skirts have plenty of options because a lot of stuff is in really good/excellent condition. The staff here is pretty friendly. read more

From someone who used to work there and quit recently, I found overall it was a Good store, but managers were a little too top heavy and abrasive. They hardly ever complimented or was grateful - I mean, they thanked you, and yea, they criticized you in constructive ways at times, but mostly, things were poor. I didn't like how Some of the associates talked with one another and nobody wanted to stand up to anyone and I was the only one that was myself it seemed. Big tribe mentality with the associates - was almost like a small gang of employees that had their own I I initiation process. If you don't smoke weed and think women should just be looked at as s** objects then you were pretty much ostracized. Also, one of the higher ups was pretty sexist in her mistreatment of men. For example, if you were hurt on the job - shed expect you to keep working, oh unless you had a vag. Yes, the clothes and merchandise, as well as the concept of business; for example - donate your items, receive a discount to buy items, receive a tax discount for your donated items, then they weigh and portion a percentage to the local nonprofit 'Big Brothers and Big Sisters' which they help people out also buy moving donatable items with their trucks. I'm just suspicious of the whole process overall - I mean yes, reselling old items is better than trashing them and burning them up in landfills to clog the atmosphere with harmful gases - but they probably get significant tax exemptions that kill other businesses that could be there instead. Select your rating I live very close to this Savers and shop there often. Recently, I took in my terminally 90 year old mother-in-taw due to COVID. Due to illness she cannot shop for herself, I have become her personal shopper and often purchase and return mutliple pieces of clothing for her. Since I have been a long time loyal customer I often donate to Savers and almost always have a coupon with me. Whenever I am credited for the items I need to return and then purchase new ones the store receipts do not clearly reflect the discount of the original clothing and the newly purchased clothing. I asked for the store manager on one occasion, she entered the 20% discount for my coupon prior to applying the credit and the purchase. No problem, left as a happy customer. Last time I came there to do a similar exchange, I was in a hurry, the cashier told me the boss told her it is 20% off the purchase, the receipt did not reflect this. I told her the receipt did not reflect this and I did not have time to argue with her. Left there thinking going forward I will remind them before they ring up the exchange. A week later, I came in to return to and exchange additional clothing. When I got to the register and asked the cashier if she agreed with me regarding the 20% off the price of the clothes I was purchasing she told me she would need her supervisor to process it. When the supervisor came to process the return, she stated at the end of totaling the credit and the new items I was purchasing, that with my 20% off she could not give more than $2.00 back to me. I then asked her to add a pair of slacks that cost $3.49 to the sale. Thinking I would then pay $1.49. She rang the sale up for $4.85. When I tried to explain the math to her she would not even look me in the eye. She stared straight ahead of the cash register. I repeatedly tried to clarify this with her. She then told me she would not argue with me. She also stated that I was yelling at her. I told her I am not yelling at you, just trying to show you how to do the math. She then stated she would not give me my money back. I asked to see her supervisor, she said she was out. I asked her what her name was. She would not give me her name, nor her supervisor's name and walked away. Her cashier was left standing there. I asked her what her bosses name was. She turned and stared at her boss who had left and went to the glass case where the purses are. I then asked the cashier her name, no answer then I told her I would be able to get the information online, and noticed her nametag. She then stepped forward and told me her name was Addie. This took place on Monday 10/5/20 early afternoon. I do not believe the staff at this store understand the receipts when a customer brings clothing for an exchange. There is a serious problem with the way the exchanges are listed on the receipts, it does not match the original receipt charges. It is very misleading and confusing. I would appreciate a response and explanation of my receipt. I hope to go to Savers again when the other manager is on duty to get this clarified. read more

today was a BIG sale day at SAVERS in Woonsocket RI - 50% off EVERYTHING. GREAT. i got there 5 mins after they opened and there was not a single shopping cart left. all they had was a few of those baskets on wheels that are impossible to maneuver and a safety hazard for anyone in their vicinity. how about you take some of the $$$$$ you are earning hand-over-fist and INVEST in some more shopping carts and replacements for the insufficient beat-to-hell ones this store has now? everything you sell (except those precious red-tag items you constantly promote) has been DONATED to you for FREE!!! spend some $$$ and you might get even MORE business. i'll bet your workers could use a raise too. don't tell me how you support a charity. blahblahblah...you give a mere pittance to any charity you support in comparison to the money the corporation is raking in. and clean your bathrooms!!! the ladies room is a health hazard, so i can only imagine how bad the men's room is! good bargains sometimes.great cashiers and people working on the floors . just try to spread your PROFITS around better and stop being such GREEDY bastards. read more

I love Savers! I had never been before but someone had recently recommended going there when I told them about my situation. My husband goes through clothes like crazy because of work. He easily destroys shirts, pants and shoes within weeks and I was sick of buying new ones! I was very surprised to find some great stuff that was barely used, not to mention a pair of boots that would normally be over $100 for less than $20. Definitely recommend! read more

This place reminds me of the glory days of thrift shopping when I was a teenager and there were true bargains to be found on quality merchandise. I've been here twice and struck gold both times. My Aunt who can walk independently however has a bad back and requires a bench to sit on while trying on clothes was discriminated against by a disgruntled customer as well as the manager. The customer who claims she was disabled (I cannot presume one way or the other as they should not have not done to my aunt) drags the manager over to my aunt to interrupt her to tell her she needs to get out of the dressing room because an "actual" handicapped person needs to use it. I know plenty of people who wrongfully use handicapped bathrooms, parking spots, and dressing rooms and it's unfortunate, however that does not justify calling out a patron and basically accusing her of fraud. Completely unprofessional, discriminatory, and down right rude. I will never shop in this savers after the way my aunt was treated and I suggest you and your family don't either. read more

So I do like it here. I have come a few times and have always left with a bag of goodies. May I make a suggestion to the management here? PLEASE hang the pants the proper way. The way you hang them causes the spandex (in those that have spandex) to get stretched out at the hip right where the clip of the hanger is. So when you put them on you have one hip with a big bulge sticking out which was caused by the hanger clip pulling on that spot while the pants were hanging. Ridiculous. It is also much harder to glance at the pants while still on the hanger when they are in this position. Please go back to the old way of hanging them. I cannot figure out why you do this way, anyway? read more
