She came back with a higher price than I expected, so I politely asked if she could lower it to around the low $20 range, especially since the store would still be making a profit. Instead of simply saying no or explaining the pricing policy, she became argumentative. She told me she had checked the security cameras and then the system to see who had priced the shoes because there were two different prices associated with them, $22.99 and $29.99. She then stated that the $22.99 price "couldn't be right" and insisted on charging the higher amount. She continued by saying things like, "How do you think the lights stay on every month?" and "We need this money to pay the employees." She kept complaining as though lowering the price by a few dollars would somehow affect whether the business could pay its bills or employees. It honestly felt like she was personally invested in every dollar, as if she worked on commission. To be clear, I wasn't arguing with her. I ended up paying the price she wanted. My issue isn't the amount I paid, it's how I was treated. A simple, professional explanation that the price couldn't be adjusted would have been completely acceptable. It was unnecessary and unprofessional for an employee to lecture a customer about the store's operating costs or imply that a small discount would somehow keep the lights on or employees paid. If I had decided not to purchase the shoes at all, the store would have made nothing from the sale. This interaction left a poor impression and made me feel like asking a reasonable question was somehow wrong. I do not recommend coming her to anyone anymore , friends, families or strangers i always say this location is one Not to attend anymore. Goodwill has always been about helping the community by keeping items affordable. Lately, it feels like many stores are pricing items based on eBay, which takes away from that mission. Not everyone shops at Goodwill to resell. Many of us are just looking for affordable items. A better approach would be pricing items around 40% of what they actually sold for online. That still allows Goodwill and resellers to make a profit while keeping prices fair for everyday shoppers and helping inventory move faster. I hope Goodwill can get back to serving the community with reasonable pricing.

For example, if you set an item down on the counter while the employee is standing just a couple of feet away, you may be told to bring it over to a specific spot rather than them simply picking it up. Even something as simple as wanting to tap your phone to pay can seem like an inconvenience. I'm all for having procedures, but there's a difference between being organized and making customers feel like they're inconveniencing you. I'd probably shop here again because I like the selection and organization, but a friendlier and more accommodating attitude would make the experience considerably better.

Honestly, this store is awful. I worked there for about 8 months and this store did nothing regarding complaints about sexual harassment and assault. There were multiple customers who harassed our female workers and upper management would do nothing. Absolutely nothing. The majority of male workers, in all departments of our store, are also extremely misogynistic as they would "rate" us and degrade female customers and fellow co-workers. I was sexually harassed by the current manager/supervisor. Travis Van Leeuwen. He would consistently speak about me and other colleagues in an explicit and disrespectful manner. I quit this position because the current Store Manager Jesus and Front Store Manager Kayla, did not discipline him for any of his behaviors previously stated. In fact, he is now set to be promoted to front store manager and has continued to act unprofessionally in his role as a supervisor. Savers HR also did nothing. I quit because of Travis's harassment, although I had multiple meetings with HR, where all they asked was what had happened to me and nothing further was done. This is a terrible work environment for the staff and an overall disgusting company with despicable management that I am ashamed to have work with. Support thrifting and sustainable brands but do not work here or trust those in charge. They simply do not care. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I worked here for a little over a year. And at first it was fine. But as time went on the management got worse and worse. There are people who hold higher positions who have a mountain of sexual harassment complaints against them but they just get slapped on the wrist. The company in less than a year has had many workers leave in mass because of these said sexual predators. The store has also blatantly ignored their own safety policies, putting workers at risk from Covid to fires. They continue to protect those who target others sexually, minors have been targeted. These victims went to the company's HR with proof and instead of protection they were met with victim blaming and hostility. Management has defended these abhorrent behaviors, so I left this company because I could not in good conscience work for a company that treats its workers in such a way. Those who were targeted deserve justice. If you have any conscience please stop shopping here. Demand that savers fires those responsible for making so many female workers feel threatened and violated. Go an support your small mom and pop thrift stores instead of this horrible corporate company! read more

As a current employee, I'm happy to say that this place does NOT care about about us. Not one ounce. sexual harassment? No. Uncomfortable around certain employees, customers, or supervisors? No. Our managers preaches a "open door policy," however nothing happens which feels like a huge waste of time. It's upsetting to think that OUR own managers don't care about us even though they say they do. Toxic environment. Unnecessary drama among coworkers. Recycling aka trash. One of my personal favorite thrift stores. Very cheap items, everything is in such good condition, the whole store is well organized, and the staff is absolutely amazing! I honestly can't give this store enough praise. If your looking for great clothes at a cheap price, this is the place to be. I love Savers Murrieta. I am a bargain shopper and love going to thrift stores. This store is always clean and most of all well organized. I find myself spending hours in this store because there is so much merchandise to choose from. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. Savers is terrible! Do not donate here! They throw away almost everything. I donated furniture and noticed that they crushed it in the trash. They do not care about your donations. I should've just taken my stuff to the dump which is what I suggest that you do. They don't want it! read more

I gave it a third chance today thinking the last visits were just off days, but the awkward, uncomfortable vibe is consistently terrible. They do have nice home decor, but the place is super crowded and cramped, and the prices aren't even that great. To make matters worse, the energy in the store is awful. You can tell the workers are folks who have been through some rough times and are trying to work through a program, but the manager at the register spends her whole day publicly micro-managing, barking at, and berating them across the floor over the smallest things. You just end up feeling terrible for the workers. She's nasty to customers, too. I overheard another shopper ask a simple question because she misunderstood a discount percentage, and the manager literally barked, "Do you want it or not?" at her. Listening to that kind of hostile behavior while trying to shop completely ruins the experience. I ended up just buying one item and rushing out, when I probably would have picked up more if I could actually browse in peace. On top of all that, the second you walk through the door, you get hit with a crazy, fast-talking lecture on 15 different tag discount rules and exceptions that nobody can keep track of anyway. I'd love to shop here more since I'm always driving by, but the crazy pricing rules and the manager's terrible attitude make it a place I usually just skip.
