Dentist: Ryan J. Franklin, Oakhurst: 2025 Aug 26 (5 of 5)…read more I've always had a fear when visiting the dentist office. I remember the sounds of screeching birds (that was actually sound from a high-pitched whine caused by the drill). I'm glad the dentists I see now do not use those tools. The other thing I detest is that bright overhead lights. I may have watched too many sci-fi movies because those lights look like an alien space ship hovering over my head. However, my fears were dispelled when I saw Dr. Franklin. He was kind and gentle, answered my questions and spent a good amount of time with me. I went to Dr. Franklin for a second opinion. The good doctor allayed my fears of the work prescribed by the other dentist that I saw. He explained in detail the pros and cons of dental work, and the time to get the work done. After a thorough examination, Dr. Franklin said I have a gentle bite. Overall, I've had nothing by superb assistance from this office - from Sierra, at the front desk, to Grace, who took the Digital 3D X-Rays. Source 'google': "3D digital technology at a dentist's office provides enhanced diagnostic capabilities and treatment planning through intraoral scanners that create detailed 3D digital models of a patient's mouth, and Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scans that offer a comprehensive 3D view of teeth, bones, and soft tissues. This advanced technology allows for more precise, less invasive procedures, and the creation of customized dental restorations like crowns and bridges using in-office 3D printing." I fully put my trust in Dr. Franklin and would certainly recommend anyone who is looking to be treated with care and attention. A big 'thank you' to everyone here. Keep up the good work. I've referred patients to just about every specialist in this town. The one office I consistently go back to is the Fresno Endodontic Group. Their service and quality is a cut above other offices. They utilize the latest technology to better diagnose your tooth and also to better treat your tooth. I have never heard a single complaint about this office and if I personally needed a root canal, I am going to this office 100%. If you're looking for high quality work done quickly and comfortably, this is the place for you. They may be out of your network and it may cost you a little bit extra, but trust me... you don't want to deal with a failed root canal or complications from this procedure. You will have wished you spent the extra money and gone to to Dr. Jensen or Dr. Royle (and Dr. Logan). Trying to save a few bucks on a root canal is definitely not a good idea, take it from someone (me) who deals with this stuff on a daily basis. 5 out of 5 stars hands down!

I called to make an appointment after being referred by my dentist. Yes, I will be speaking to my dentist about this office. And the person wanted to schedule me for a root canal. Before being seen, evaluated, examined - she wanted to schedule me for a root canal. After explaining I wanted a consultation first to determine what the issue was, she sounded flustered and angry. I made my appointment and was told I would be called the day before to receive out-of-pocket estimates. I called two days before and a different person answered. When I asked for my cost estimate she said they were short staffed and wouldn't be able to provide me an estimate until after speaking to the insurance company which may not be until the day I'm seen. I tried to sound pleasant and asked if she could give me an educated guess and she said $90 to be seen but that doesn't include any images or any other types of tests they might have to do to determine the cause of my tooth sensitivity. After reading the previous reviews, I'm hoping to find another endodontist since I still have the issue with my tooth.

He belittles his staff and is downright demeaning if they forget or do something incorrectly. It was very uncomfortable and I wanted to give them all a hug. He was also very condescending to me just because I took an ibuprofen prior to coming in to dull the pain and he couldn't access my tooth right away. I ended up spending my whole day there which was unfortunate. I would never refer anyone here. If you get referred here, find another alternative.

I had a root canal and I was very nervous for the pain. I brought in all cash and I watched both of the front desk guys count it 7 times. And then when I sat down they came in asking for $50 more because they counted it wrong. The dental assistant was kind but had no idea what she was doing. She took up to 20 x rays during the whole appt and could not figure it out. They brought in multiple other assistants and one of them was rude. I felt like a test dummy with this group. No one knew what they were doing when I would ask a question the dental assistant clearly didn't know the answer so she'd laugh. I feel like the appropriate thing to do is say "You know what I'm not sure but let me ask the doctor for you". I had my final straw when they were trying to put this cap thing on my tooth and this other assistant was manhandling my face for the 4th time of trying to get it on my tooth and it flew across the room. I started crying because I was that much more nervous that this group had no idea what they were doing and I had been waiting already for the doctor in my chair for 2 and 1/2 hours. He finally came in and he was efficient and I was numbed just the right amount but he was condescending when talking to his staff rather than being a good teacher. I'm not sure if literally everyone here was new besides the doctor or what. But please hire people with more experience so this doesn't happen to your patients anymore! Even the assistant kept apologizing because she knew it was bad.
