Oy Vay! This weekend…read moreI decided to go Christmas shopping with my hubby to add to our home decor. We were in White Rock to visit family and came across the HomeSense. Understanding HomeSense to be one of the best places to shop, we walked in to check it out. Upon browsing we came across a cute little snowman ornament priced at 5$ (expensive for just one decorative item!) - the upsetting part was that it was damaged (button missing and red glue spots) visibly and there didn't seem to be any others on display. I tracked down a sales rep and asked her if they had any more of the ornaments in stock to replace the damaged one, unfortunately, she said that all they had was on the floor. Disappointed, but in love with the little snowman, I hummed and hawwed, trying to justify to myself the spending of more money on a simple, but damaged ornament. I asked the sales rep if she thought they could offer a discount and she said yes, and to ask for it at check out. I decided I would see if they could discount it and I would try to repair it on my own. Upon arriving to the check out, I told the cashier told them the scenario, then asked if they could a) discount the item or b)order more in. The manager then came over, refused to look at me, looked at the snowman with disgust and said they wouldn't discount it because it was ONLY five dollars (their stated price) and that it was already cheap (Um- $5 for a single seasonal ornament is PRETTY PRICY to common folk if you ask me!, Hello Walmart?!) , followed by the statement that if she would discount it (but she was choosing not to) it would only be for 50 cents. THEN she went into a whole statement about how they receive items as damaged all the time, that they weren't damaged in-store so its not their fault and they should have to face financial loses because they sell damaged items at full price. .... WOW is right. BUT WAIT! THERES MORE! After being appalled (and somewhat shocked!) that a manager just plainly stated that they don't value their products, view lesser priced items as insignificant and that they routinely sell DAMAGED GOODS AT FULL PRICE, I asked if they could order a non damaged one in for me to purchase. Without any hesitation she said no, and that they don't do that for their customers. So- a company that doesn't care about customer satisfaction either?! Needless to say, I left without purchasing anything and with no intention to come back since they had such poor customer service, company values/morals and view a 5$ price point for a SNOWMAN ORNAMENT as too low value and quality. Looks like I will only be shopping at PIER 1 from now on.

The quality of the cabinets and hardware is very good. Installation occurred in a timely manner and was very professional. We were very happy with it all and have since recommended Cowry for his kitchen and he is very pleased with that job as well. After working with Rona's kitchen designer, we ordered our Merit kitchen through Rona January 16,…read more2025. We were told that it would arrive 3-4 weeks after the order was placed. Partial shipment was received April 24, a full 12 weeks after the order was place. It is now June 3 and we have yet to receive all the missing components. Rona has failed to pressure Merit to complete the order. Secondly, if not for our designer, Merit would be totally clueless on what was short shipped. I have a telephone meeting set up tomorrow morning with the Rona store owner. This will be my second conversation with this fellow, who clearly does not listen. Bottom line, I do not recommend anyone purchase a kitchen through the Rona Salmon Arm store. However, their in-store kitchen designer has been great, going above and beyond her role as the designer in keeping us up to date on missing components, while pressuring the store owner and Merit.

Anyway, it broke so I called Merit to get it repaired. At first, they said they'd call me back to let me know the appointment time. Didn't hear back for several days, so I called again. That time they said they'd call me back that day before 5:00 and they did. A few days later the guy they'd booked for me came to my place early in the morn' as I'd requested and fixed the Magic Corner quickly. It was pretty expensive, but nothin' I could do. The guy was nice and all. We'll see how the work holds up.

He promised I'd get a quote in 2-3 days, and nothing for 10 days was received. Then I get a call from another associate who said that the job was delegated to him, and he was clueless about what I wanted and started asking all the questions all over again!!! Just told him that with this kind of customer service I wouldn't trust them with my job. Two weeks of precious time wasted! Not recommended at all.

We spoke with Ronal about our reno and he was able to accommodate our request. We felt that Ronal was very honest and up front about our kitchen modification. He wanted to point out all the potential complications that could happen with the reno (colour matching, floor modification, toe kick modification) We also wanted to save one piece of the old cabinet to be used on the new installation. Aero was able to save this piece thereby reducing the cost of the job. We are very happy with the service and professionalism of Aero Cabinet and Bath.

I have enough knowledge about the history of this company as it grew to what it is today. They are very organized and sales staff are trained to give their absolute best in helping customers. I wonder if the negative comments are for another store named Design Lighting which is definitely not the one in Langley (previous location) and in Surrey (current location). I am not an employee of this company but do business calls regularly. Over the years, I've seen how the staff attended to customers. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Their operation is computerized from day 1. They know their items and their stock position. I'm sharing this because I cannot believe the negative comments I've read. The receipt said it but isn't highlighted so didn't realize this until I came back to exchange it for another fixture I'd been considering. The staff on the weekend couldn't over-ride the exchange from a final sale so had to call the manager the next day and make another trip out to make the exchange which was for a more expensive fixture as well. There was only one staff at the front counter that managed to break a smile in the three visits I had to make. Really not impressed at all. Could have found the same on Wayfair with a lot less hassle. Beware if you want to return or exchange anything, they really don't appreciate this.
