Once squared away with our accommodation, it was a very short walk over to the small, and nearby shopping plaza. A stop for some brew at the 'BC Liquor Store' first, then a few steps further to 'Buy-Low' to check out the colourful, outdoor displays.that had caught our eyes when we first came into the plaza The outdoor set ups on the store's patio area -- colourful, plant baskets, and early-fall produce -- had definitely called us for a closer look. Upon a closer look, we found selections of late-summer/early-fall fruits & produce - including pumpkins, pumpkin gourds, and some very 'cool-looking' dried, ornamental corn cobs. There was no way I could pass catching some of the latter, and picked out four, colourful cobs to purchase and bring home for the makings of an Autumn and Thanksgiving table set up. Our rather short, and inexpensive stop, was fun & friendly, and produced some "fun colour" to bring home for Thanksgiving!

I was grateful that it saved me the trip of going all the way back into town. But they do charge a bit for a $1.50 I would have paid at the dollar store I end up paying $5. So if it's anything other than snacks I would save house hold items for in town shopping.

A cool, little place, with a "touch of everything" -- Post Office, groceries, locally-made sausages and other deli, household supplies and such, plus, a small, cafe set up, with counter and couple of tables, offering fresh coffee, pastries, and the like. Friendly service from the salesperson, and her gorgeous, big, cat, that loves to sit on and walk the service counter, to meet & greet everyone coming in!! A short, fun stop for us -- and a potential venue for some locally-prepared sausage when in the area next time, and heading home.

I am a huge fan of superstore due to their choice to stock a wide variety of foods that meet those who have dietary restrictions. They have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options which makes it easy to get the items you need. They stock items that other times can be stressful to track down. I've noticed over the past months that their items of gluten free do come and go, and some weeks there is more to pick from than others but lately they got a new product in that we are excited to have. They also have a wide variety of vegan/dairy free options available as well. Just today I picked up a peppermint mocha hairy free creamer. I have never seen them before but I was very excited. The grocery stores within mission are limited at some for these items but at superstore we are typically able to get the items we're looking for.
