Eagle Ridge Mall opened on February 22, 1996 with 80 stores, a carousel, an ice skating rink, and…read moreanchor stores that included Sears, JCPenney, and Dillard's. The grand opening of the 100 million dollar, 624,000 square-foot mall attracted 3,700 people within the first 30 minutes and 22,000 shoppers celebrated the new mall throughout the day. Throughout the ensuing years the mall has faced challenges like the sinkhole that developed beneath a children's play area and a second hole beneath an area of the Sears store in 1998. In 2009, the economic downturn led to then-owner, General Growth Properties, filling for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. It was reportedly the largest real estate bankruptcy in U.S. history at the time. The Sears store closed in late 2016, and JCPenney closed in June 2020, leaving Dillard's as the sole remaining original anchor store. After Covid there were only 40 businesses left in the mall. While the two anchor stores remain vacant, management has managed to increase the number of businesses to over 70. These include Regal 12 Cinema, the Lake Wales Bowl, with Strikes Bar and Grill, and the El Pilón Loko Puerto Rican restaurant adjacent to the food court. There is also a bounce house park play area for $12. While the mall looks like it has been through it I really loved my visit. it felt like a throwback to the 80's. There were some really unique stores and the carousel in the food court was absolutely beautiful. Where some people see a dump, I see a reminder of a simpler time. Don't write this old girl off yet.

Publix Super Markets - No California rolls even though they are supposed to make them and could have but didn't

This review is for the Deluxe Seafood Salad and the Meat Department…read more I have tried other grocery store brand Seafood Salad - and by far Publix have the best tasting one. You cannot taste the "mayo" it has a slight sweet taste to the "mayo" cream in it. You can barely taste the tangy taste of the mayo. This is a deluxe seafood salad so it has more than Krab meat (surimi) - It has baby shrimps in it along with bits of celery. Slight of bits of red onions but barely in there. But the taste of this seafood salad is delicious. Its great paired with crackers and eat it like a dip. As far as the meat department - I come here often for steaks, pork chops, pork ribs. The meat selection here and the taste for me is better than Costco. It is pricier because its not bulk but the taste and quality makes up for it. They offer butcher slicing when requested. I often ask for this service for ribs that I need cut through the bones to cook for stews or soups. They only lack customer service in the meat butcher area depends on who is the butcher. But most of the time - They offer kind services for your request.

His attitude was that of... don't care, leave me alone and don't bother me. They love to overcharge at Publix but the one thing my daughter enjoys from Publix is their California rolls. Will be the last time I shop at this rude, I don't care location which by the way sells expired Kraft Mac and cheese boxes. Publix loves to charge 2-3 times the price for items that are expired. I would give 0 stars if I could but yelp doesn't care to allow for the real reviews

OVERDUE REVIEW :: I have driven past this flea market a few times but never took the time to park…read moreand walk around! So finally did. Located on 27 across by publix plaza. This flea market is also across from home depot. Next door to racetrack gas station. The surroundings is outdoor and sand / dirt when you walk around. It can get really hot and warm at times so prepare to wear sunscreen sunglasses and a hat and cool clothing. They have a few mexican trucks here serving tacos etc. I have also seen kettle corn as well. So this flea market also has indoor booths. I have seen fresh produce being sold here , vintage used items, incense sticks booth, Asian booth selling misc items from kids toys to garden gadgets etc. I have scored a precious moments figurine (used) for $1. I mostly tackle used items because they are cheap when you negotiate. I cannot say much on the food being sold here but they get busy.

Looked up local thrift shops and the flea market popped up.. To my surprise it has both indoor and outdoor vendors. They have a little bit of everything. Mostly used (it's a flea market) but some antique treasures, dishes, tools, etc... to appliances, and a pet stop with fish and birds! Honestly, if you're looking for something that you don't even know you're looking for, you might find it here. You know what they say, "one man's junk is another man's treaure". Sellers seem nice, they greet you as you walk by. If you get hungry, there's a sitting area with a few food trucks. I went at the end of the day so it wasn't filled with a lot of shoppers and some stands were even closed but it was a nice little walk around. Lots of parking available but the walk path for the outside stands is sandy so wear closed toe shoes.
