My comments have been a BLOODBATH with people requesting I try the Publix Mojo tissi. I made enough money off the tiktok creator fund to afford a flight to Tampa and back, so I thought I should reinvest it in my own business. I got off the plane and called an Uber straight to Publix. I got there and they only had 1 Mojo flavored tissi left. I felt like that was God winking at me, saving this bird just for me and rewarding my hard work. When you work hard, he throws you a bone sometimes. I got the bird and took it down to the water, and began tearing into it. On the first bite of the breast, I completely understood the hype. Tender, flavorful, great skin, etc. The leg followed suit, and this was truly an elite bird. I sat there in the Florida sun, seagulls circling me like vultures, appreciating life and the calm Tampa energy. It was a beautiful little moment, idk. I love Tampa. We paid $10 each, which we were fine with if the food had been fresh -- but it definitely wasn't. As soon as we opened the sandwiches, we noticed the meats looked off. Several slices had gray discoloration and odd textures (see photos). It was enough to make us uncomfortable eating them. For what we paid, we expected at least fresh, safe food -- not something that looked like it had been sitting around too long or stored improperly. Disappointed is an understatement. You can seriously walk around for an hour & still find new things with each pass. They carry a bunch of products that you usually only see online & cannot find at any grocery store or gas station. It's really fun to come in just to browse the shelves but you won't be able to leave without grabbing at least 1 or 2 things. The prices are also really fair so you can get a handful of items without breaking the bank, but beware, you might get carried away quickly! My favorite part is all of the sodas they carry. You'll basically find any soda you could imagine & then some. They have hundreds of colas, root beers, cream sodas & even whacky/funny ones. There's flavors you wouldn't even believe have been made but Rocket Fizz never fails at surprising. I promise, if you could imagine it, they're bottled it! I also want to give a very big shoutout to Jen, the woman who helped us this evening. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She made us feel very welcomed & even sent us home with some complimentary pieces of her personal favorite salt water taffy flavors. First of all you need to sign up for their paperless coupon club. Every year on the anniversary of the day you sign up they give you a text message saying you get a free bouquet of flowers. On your birthday, you get either a loaf cake or a half a gallon of Publix ice cream. The store is always clean, well organized, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I almost always save $20 or $30 per visit on the buy-one-get-one-free specials. But today I'm just happy because I have these beautiful flowers and later today I will be sharing one of the bouquets with a friend. So thank you, Publix.
