Never have I been in store and overheard employess gossiping with each other within earshot of customers. Store is always clean. I hope this manager would be considered as a District Manager at some time or employee trainer to encourage other Family Dollar Stores in this area to aspire to her high standard of customer service.

The employees were friendly and they seemed to be well staffed as I saw quite a few in the store. The location is ideal- it's next to a grocery store, Jo-Ann's Fabric, WalMart and a few other places. It's much bigger than the one in Canton and carries a few more things. It's worth the trip if you can't find what you need locally.

Anyway, so I was first introduced to Treasure Hunt at Dixie Mall in Mississauga. It's a big outlet store with everything from clothes and shoes, to toys, housewares, bicycles and tools. In my opinion, a lot of their stuff is junk, but there are hidden gems for those with the time and patience to look. When I was there, they had some Banana Republic dresses for $30. They also had lots of Athleta (the athletic wear brand owned by The Gap) pieces for $4. They also had lots of brands that were of no interest to me though, like George from Walmart and Merona from Target, so I had to wade through those, but hey "treasure hunt" is the name of the game, right? ;) Admittedly, the cool stuff was only in sizes 00-4 and XXS-S, so good for the likes of me, but if you are a larger size, you may not have the same luck. They had lots of discount toys, but most of the boxes were opened or pretty bunged up. I was at the Brockville location a few weeks earlier, and the selection at that store was better in my opinion, and the prices were lower for certain things too. Anyway, if you like outlet/discount/liquidation type stores, then you'll probably like Treasure Hunt. It's definitely not for everyone, lol. Lots of free parking in the plaza.

It's one of those mom and pop type places that has all sorts of interesting and useful items. I love wandering through these types of dollar stores. I always find myself stumbling across something I never knew I needed. These type of stores are usually a good place for cheap electronic accessories, tools, and kitchen items. This store is no exception. It has a really good electronic accessories and tools. The beauty accessories look to be quite plentiful as well but I can't attest to their quality as they're not of much use to me. They also have a good selection of batteries here. If you're ever in the prior don't hesitate to get Lucky!

Visiting family for the holidays and being in the area we needed to grab some quick things. This was the convenient place to go for sure. Not much overall to say, almost everyone is aware of how Walmart is and has visited one. I typically would rate one star for many reasons for being a miserable place to shop. The reason I am giving two stars though is because the overall cleanliness and setup was far superior to any back in Maine. The care and attention to specifically the clothing section was surprising. I'm so use to clothes being thrown all over the place and not much looking neat. So this was quite the surprise. Still not a spot I care for but did think it deserved the slight recognition with two stars.

I went to Walmart this morning and went through a checkout that a deaf woman was working at. I…read moreunderstand that she has a disability and it might make her job harder for her but she was extremely rude. No customer service skills at all. She was able to hear and talk a little bit and my mother was putting things in the cart as she scanned our stuff she scanned our fishing pole which had the option to put a warranty on it and she yelled at my mother to "pay attention" because she needed to click yes or no. Apparently being polite to customers isn't a requirement anymore.
