This little antique shop is a must stop if you're walking around the downtown area of Kingston…read more It's friendly owner is very outgoing and very knowledgeable and works hard to ensure your visit is enjoyable. I was very impressed with the amount of beautiful advertising and memorabilia from the early 1900's. The quality is outstanding and with the exchange rate the prices are very fair. I spent several hours here browsing and talking with the owner and a seller. It's very rare to find a store with such a large selection of quality merchandise. I wish this was a place I could frequently visit I hope to have an opportunity to return someday soon.

We love shopping at antique stores but this one was not welcoming or enjoyable. The aisles are so…read morecrowded that it's hard to see anything you might like, and there's no clear layout to check out specific types of antiques. It's not clearly organized by era or type of item, so everything is really jumbled. I felt nervous about knocking stuff over, despite being very careful. The prices were extremely high; I understand the value of high-end and restored vintage treasures, but there were no fun items to pick up like in other antique stores. A single teacup and saucer were around $50, whereas in other similar stores they might be $20 for the two. It made it less exciting to shop, because every item would be such an investment. Finally, I know the owner has mentioned that they see no problem with selling this type of artifact, but I and many other shoppers find it abhorrent to display racist "Sambo" pieces. There is a way to go about dealing with these items -- donate them to schools or museums, or perhaps display them with a note, for example -- but it's 2020. You don't just slap a price tag on it and leave it among the rest of the offerings.
