We rented a hot pink scooter for two since the Vespa looking one was more of a one seater. Let me tell you, she didn't know what she was signing up for. With 50cc's of air cooled raw horsepower between both of our legs this was a honeymoon adventure we would never forget. Riding down the Main Street on Folly Beach in the most macho thing on the island was a real treat. I had to tell no less than 287 women and 16 men that I was married to the person on the back, my wife, because of all the looks we got. My wife said she had never felt such power between her legs like that little pink scooter had to offer. If you're in the area and want to not only look good but feel good an hour at a time, this is the place.

The highlight of our weekend in Charleston began here! We decided to rent scooters and go…read moresightseeing along the coast of Sullivan's Island. Port City Moped was extremely accommodating! I called Friday morning and they recommended we wait until Saturday where we would get more bang for our buck and rent them for the day. When we arrived the Jordan-owner could not have been more helpful and friendly! He gave us a map and made some fun recommendations. It was so fun riding through the neighborhoods to see all of the lavish coastal homes. We saw several historical landmarks along the way and even got to the coolest beach that had a view of downtown Charleston. Pricing was very reasonable and there are several budget friendly options. I was told I had a full tank of gas which should last for about…read more100 miles. the second day I ran out of gas. when I called the guys response was you had a full tank and their is a gas gaugeo your steering wheel. no he didn't say I'm sorry, no he didn't say I'll help you! just accusations of being negligent in watching the gas gauge. he did say he would reimburse me for the gas ( which upon returning the scooter he did not do!!!) I ended up having to push the scooter to the nearest gas station and put in almost $5 worth of gas... well at least the next guy will have a full tank! the guy texted later and said he was sorry I ran out of gas and I could keep the scooter longer. nice gesture but we had plans and we're leaving. if you do rent a scooter beware that you ride in the bike lane over the IOP bridge but in traffic everywhere else.. ( that's what the cop told me when he pulled me over). I had a lot of fun on the scooter until the cop pulled me over and I ran out of gas! it was fun till it wasn't anymore!
