Deposit was made and the problem is it has seemed next to impossible to resolve this. I have been told several excuses and misrepresentations on how this would be settled. From refunded to my card account to dropping off a check at my premises. Neither has happened. Now I cannot get a response to the emails I sent nor the messages I have left. This has been very unsetting and seems to be a con to keep my money. This is the opinion I have been left with after so many disappointments.

I got an estimate for a fence repair in December. I was told it would be completed Master's Week…read more A week before the planned start date, I added more to the project. I was told repeatedly that my project was "coming up on the schedule", but never given a new date. It got completed yesterday finally, 6 weeks after the promised date, but not without repeated attempts at communication with them about scheduling - unanswered voicemails, emails, and texts. In addition, I got multiple requests to pay the balance of the invoice before work was even started, despite the original agreement that the full amount wasn't due until completion. I then noticed a late fee tacked onto the invoice, despite the fact that the project hadn't even started. In the end, the work done was fine, but beware of their poor communication, and billing practices.

Yes, we had some minor adjustments to address but they were able to provide options and see it through. In just about 8 days my entire project was fenced exactly as I imagined. Legacy did a 4-rail fence with horse wire (to keep out the armadillas). The fence is great and so…read morefar very well built. I did have to add filler in some places that had gaps due to the uneven ground. No attempt was made to remedy the low spots (like bury the horse wire a little at the post) so I had to fix this myself. The double drive through gate was a FAIL. The ground was slightly sloped up to the west end of the gate. The west gate was built not square and the hinges not plumb to try to match up the 2 gates, which caused that side to sag dramatically (approx 5-6 inches) over time and bend the auto opener arm (east gate stayed perfectly level). I tolerated the crooked gate for a while but when the gate eventually would not operate due to west gate hitting the ground (on the down slope!) I requested that Legacy come back and rebuild the gate properly. They said it would be 3 weeks and that I would have to pay for them to come fix it. I rebuilt it myself!

Bill was referred to me by my realtor when I bought my house…read more First and foremost, Bill, as a person, is very nice and he seemingly tries hard. Bill, as a handyman and contractor, is bit of a different story. Some of the issues I had with Bill: -We started work in June and didn't finish until December for a variety of reasons, but the critical path was replacing the windows. He quoted me a price to fix my windows that were annotated on our inspection report not realizing that the style of windows was not pre-made available and so he had to get them custom made. And of course I got charged for the difference because he had already paid for the windows. I would have definitely made a different decision had he done his homework and given me the right information up front. -There was a couple times where he said he would come to do the work and never showed up that day. -He is a poor communicator. There were MANY times I had to call him and ask him for updates (after he had given me a date he would give me an update) and come to find out the timeline was pushed out. It was too many times to be just a mistake or a coincidence. -His work lacks attention to detail. We put granite countertops in and he forgot to caulk the area between the countertops and sink. It was a mess. Bottom line is that I would not call him back. Again, Bill is a super nice guy, but I expected much better.
