I ordered the roast beef manhattan for myself and the pot roast melt for my friend. When I tell you the meat is DELICIOUS, I mean it's tender, flavorful and melts in your mouth. The mashed potatoes for the manhattan are super fresh and yummy as well. I also ordered a side of the baked apples. I will say, I do agree that the apples are a bit sweeter than I would have personally liked, but I know a lot of people enjoy them super sweet. My only other small sad note was that I had asked for utensils and bread when I placed my order and I made the mistake of not checking for them before leaving. After I picked up my food I stopped in the gift shop and picked up a few jars of jam and apple butter which I am also very excited to use. The gift shop had a very cozy feel to it and was full of goodies!

That time, we opted to just get a slice of pie to go that I remember being SO good, I KNEW we had to come back eventually for the restaurant. Here we are years later and we were able to get in with no wait. Service was a little slow but she was so funny and cute we didn't really care. We started with one of the giant cinnamon rolls and let me tell you, I've been thinking about it ever since. So warm and delicious and covered in icing!! Good thing I'm not on a diet lol. My husband got some hash bowl with gravy and scrambled eggs and he ate the whole thing. Loved it. It came with a biscuit which was big and warm. I got an omelet with spinach, mushrooms and cheese and it was as big as the plate and so satisfying. We were soooo full at the end, we couldn't even think about dessert. Next time though for sure!!

So I thought I HAD to give it a second visit and see if my first time was just a lucky chance. Well, I went today for brunch and experienced another 5 star meal. Since it was as great a meal today, I'll comment on behalf of both. Greeted IMMEDIATELY upon entering the restaurant by a friendly up beat employee. The restaurant was very clean and seemed to be operating at a smooth pace. We were led to our table and handed our menus. Our server was with us almost immediately, smiling and greeting us to the restaurant. Menus were handed out and our questions were answered. We had 5 people in our party and ordered 4 blackberry Bellinis and I had a coffee old fashioned. We ALL raved about our drinks and after a few more questions, we ordered our meals: Crab Cake Benedict, Smoked Salmon Benedict, Chicken Sandwich and a Philly Steak Sandwich. All I can say is that EVERY plate was EMPTY! We ALL LOVED our food! It was hot, fresh tasting and delicious flavors. Even the fries were hot, crisp, fresh and seasoned perfectly. Forgot, Two of our party members ordered the wild mushroom torte, and...NOTHING left on the plate!! Our food was so awesome that we had to try 2 desserts: Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée and the Carrot Cake and yes...they were demolished and joined the 'Clean Plate Club'!!!!! EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING AND EVERYONE IN OUR PARTY LEFT WITH AN AMAZINGLY AWESOME EXPERIENCE! GREAT job by EVERYONE WHO WORKED TODAY. Mic drop experience and I can't wait to go back!!!

It's probably a matter of taste and batch because we found one of the less briny ones very briny, but all were small and yummy. Calamari as an appetizer was delicious. The clams casino were just OK and the octopus was very tasty and tender. The lobster and risotto were both average at best. The risotto was underdone (not enough complain about) but enough that the dish wasn't delicious. The crabcake was exceptionally good - all crab very little if any filler, and perfectly cooked. The fish dish, which I don't remember the name of, came out in a very tomatoey sauce, and it was supposed to be more of a New Orleans style. It was tasty and the fish was tender. It was just the sauce was surprising - just too much tomato. Cocktails were fantastic and probably a high point at the beginning of the evening! All in all good, but not a reason to journey as far as we had to travel to get there

For dinner, the group ordered the ribeye, shrimp and grits, chicken sandwich, pork ragu, and fish sandwich. The crowd favorites were the fish sandwich, chicken sandwich, and shrimp and grits. Every one of the five different entrees merits the five-star rating. Service: exceptional. Our server, Mr. Lenza, was beyond what even the most demanding of customer could want. Engaging, knowledgeable (about many, many things that extended beyond entree questions), fun, and attentive (but not overly so; he hit the perfect mark). Ambiance: upscale-fun meets modern-artisan. Bonus was meeting one of the owners who entertained us with hidden "duck" tales [lol; intrigue intended]. This will be my go-to spot for guests in the future (as well as for me when I'm craving creative & tasty cuisine). Well done, SSEH, well done (& I'm not just talking how to prep my burger )!

Misty was our server and she was so pleasant, engaged and professional. She took the time to have a lovely chat with us and that was so nice. Also, I ordered a Lemon Drop martini and it was so wonderful that I asked if I could talk to the bartender. I Didn't get her name but she was so nice! She Gave us the recipe, the process and stayed for a lovely chat. Oh, and BTW, the food was great! We mixed a bunch of things ( mussels, Brussels, tacos and peppers) and all were terrific. With the exception of the peppers. Not great and Misty took care of us when we gave her that feedback. Overall, a 10 of 10 for service and 9 of 10 for food! Go there, you'll love it!

We specifically came expecting a lunch experience based on their advertising and were frustrated to discover that wasn't the case. There's a big difference between serving lunch and serving brunch with a few lunch items sprinkled in. Restaurants should be transparent about what they actually offer so customers can make informed decisions before visiting. If you're looking for a true lunch menu on the weekend, this may not be the place for you.

When we walked in, the place was hot and uncomfortable, as if the A/C wasn't working. We sat down anyway and ordered water, only to be told there was no ice available. We both ordered the same breakfast sandwich -- an everything bagel with sausage, egg, and American cheese -- along with a half order of biscuits and gravy. After waiting 39 minutes, the food finally came out, and it was wrong across the board. The sandwiches were served on croissants, and we were told you didn't have American cheese. My wife pointed out the mistake, and her plate was taken back. I kept mine because of how long we had already waited. When her replacement sandwich came out, it was on a plain bagel. When she reminded the server she ordered an everything bagel, she was told she could "put everything bagel seasoning on it herself." At that point, we decided to leave. The server told my wife the biscuits and gravy were removed from the bill -- which was the only thing handled correctly during the entire visit. We left frustrated, hungry, and disappointed. I am requesting a full refund for this visit. The level of service, accuracy, and professionalism we experienced does not match the reputation or the number of positive reviews your café has. I want you, as the owner, to be aware of how poorly this visit was handled.
