Note The actual credit has not received on my credit card yet: 9/15: I received two messages today from the spa manager when I returned home who was VERY apologetic and very kindly offered me to come back for another therapist or a refund. I thought this was *very * professional. Unfortunately I left Nice after the spa so can only take the refund . I'm not sure about the comment that I should have stopped the massage and they would have had someone else do the massage as with hundreds of massages I've never had an experience like this and didn't know *I* was wrong in stopping and giving the therapist direction multiple times but was instead supposed to ask the therapist to go get me a new therapist. Simply taking direction would have sufficed. But again, I was very impressed with the manager's two voicemail messages and offer to correct the situation by a new massage or refund. This was definitely in line with the quality I had expected.

Do not go here for waxing (epilation) - especially bikini waxing. It was the worst bikini wax of…read moremy life and I've had many. The biggest offense is that it's not sanitary! I thought perhaps everyone gets their own new pot of wax, but NO - They dip the same metal tool in the wax and apply it to you over and over - who knows how many people have used that same wax. It doesn't matter what the rules or health code is in France, it's just not sanitary and shows they don't respect their clients' health and safety. Before I could say no, she also spread some sort of cream on afterward that burned and made my skin very red. Any true professional knows lotions/creams are terrible after waxing. The esthetician was friendly and fast, but that was the only positive. I regret not speaking up and just refusing to get waxed once I saw she was going to double dip. I hope this helps someone else in the future. And I hope the spa changes their policies - use the wooden sticks one time only and throw out after each application! That is the only sanitary way.

Pros: Room size: Very spacious room and bathroom for Europe! Staff: Super friendly, warm, and attentive. Fitness Center: The gym is modern, sleek, and well-maintained. Cons / Areas for Improvement: Housekeeping hiccups: They don't inform you at check-in that you must hang the door tag for room service, so our room went uncleaned the first day. When we asked for replacement towels late that evening, one of the washcloths brought up was dingy/unusable. Another day, a fresh washcloth had a visible stain; I called guest services to replace it urgently before a dinner reservation, but no one ever showed up (shoutout to my friend who saved the day with a spare from her room!). Facilities: The toilet nook lacks adequate ventilation, and the pool area is small with minimal seating--plan to claim a spot early or just stick to the oceanfront. Overall, it's a solid location in Nice with great potential, and I'd consider staying here again!
