We/I had 2 experiences here during our stay at the hotel. The first was decent, the second was atrocious and wiped out any good feelings I might have had about the prior one.
The first visit we both had a package and spent our time in the spa facilities beforehand. The facilities were nice and the employees who worked on us were very sweet. The room was nice but there were color changing lights over the table where I was worked on, which is terrible and distracting when you are trying to zen out. I was finally given an eye pillow. I also found it very odd to have to get up in the middle to rinse off. I have never had this experience when getting a scrub, so it was very strange and was in an open glass shower with others in the room. The person working on me did have long nails so I got stabbed a number of times, but I told my friend I'd still see her again because the massage part itself was quite good, lol.
The second experience was a full massage for myself the following day. The experience was absolutely terrible. This massage was the worst one I have ever had in my life! There is no way that the woman who worked on me trained professionally to do massage. If she did, that school needs to give her money back. She was super, super sweet but there was no professionalism in any of it and as soon as she moved to the side of me I discovered that I was on a wobbly table. As the massage went on because my eyes were closed every time she worked on me from a certain angle the table would wobble and I began to get seasick from the movement. I also could feel a draft and was utterly freezing. At one point I stopped the massage and had her go out of the room to get me a ton of towels to lay underneath because she said she could not heat my table or adjust the temperature. It was awful and by the end of it I was fuming. She literally spent more than half of the massage just rubbing my scalp and it was clear there was no knowledge of muscles or technique. At check out I was billed for a higher level of massage than I had requested and I also let her know about the wobbly table. She tried to tell me that I had a customized massage, which I definitely did not. She then reduced the price back down to the price of what I had originally requested and acted as if she was doing me a favor to compensate for the wobbly table. What a joke!! There's no way anyone should have to pay for the dumpster fire of a massage that I received. It was a disgusting experience.
It will definitely be hit or miss for anyone that goes to this place, book with extreme caution! read more
