I saw Dr. Saulny for the first time. He was a delight: compassionate, knowledgeable and reassuring. He answered all our questions and we never felt rushed. He must've spent 45 minutes with us. What a gem of a Dr .... a rarity these days. Truly lovely man. I enjoyed meeting him along with his two " assistants" Eddie and Tamika. read more

I would highly recommend Dr Saulny if you are considering having your eyelids done. He is very conservative about which procedure he would recommend and has an amazingly gentle touch! The procedure was virtually pain-free and I am so pleased with my natural looking results! read more

I had surgery on my eyelid. Dr Saulny took the time, answered all my questions and walked me through the entire procedure before surgery. The surgery went great and came out exactly as expected. I appreciate the entire staff and of course Dr Saulny. I highly recommend him if you are looking for outstanding ophthalmologist. read more

I have never been a fan of cosmetic surgery. I used to think it's narcissistic. But while taking care of something medically necessary, Dr. Saulny made adjustments to my eyelids. Not only is my vision better but people are actually treating me differently. I look more alert. Sometimes we have to change our minds about things. I recommend him wholeheartedly. read more

I had eyelid surgery with Dr. Saulny and his wonderful nurse. He gave me an extremely accurate idea of how the surgery and healing would progress, when to call him, and how my vision would improve after the surgery. So I had an idea of the risks and rewards. All were accurate and I'm so thankful my neighbor recommended Dr. Saulny. And before I left he gave me his cell phone number for any problems. WHEN does that happen?? The surgery turned out even better than my expectations and I couldn't be more pleased. And right on the schedule I was told about for this surgery. Thank you Dr. Saulny! I would recommend him to anyone considering eyelid surgery. read more

He is absolutely amazing. Just had a blepharoplasty and it was virtually painless and minimal bruising. Couldn't be happier with the results

I had a recent surgery with Dr. Saulny - it was actually a fun experience. I was very nervous but he was very patient and has such a gentle touch. No pain at all. During the out-patient procedure, we laughed, listened to disco music and all went very well. The results are just as we had discussed. His assistant was also professional and helpful. It is only a few days after surgery, but I look really good! Dr. Saulny is not only a skilled, kind and caring doctor, but explains everything clearly and wants his patients to be satisfied. I highly recommend him. Bobbi read more

Dr. Stanley M. Saulny recently performed Ophthalmological plastic and reconstructive surgery on my wife. The results were incredible as was the experience. Dr. Saulny clinical skills are incredible, but as important are his people skills. Surgery is a frightening experience, but Dr. Saulny made the experience wonderful. He is a partner of OphthalmologyAssociates of the Valley and has offices in both Encino and West Hills, CA . I highly recommend him. You should contact him at 818-990-3623 or 818-346-8118 read more

After years of debilitating migraines, trying so many different drugs ice on my head, etc. I remembered a little sign at my ophthalmologists office about Botox for migraines. Okay I'll try anything. After thorough evaluation, dr. Saulny had me approved for Medicare to cover the injections. It's like 12 little not bad injections in head and neck. Every 3 months. First round, helped for a week or so then came back. 2nd round, significant reduction in number of migraines. Last round, I can't even remember when my last migraine was. This has been incredible so far. My experience is also that this practice has been really good about being on time for appointments, and Dr. Saulny is a nice and professional man. So happy I came here. read more

Dr Saulny is an absolute eye artist. I had my eyes (upper) done by him and I truly am blown away. I truly love my results. He and his assistant are so caring and so nice and they both made my experience perfect. Dr. Saulny took so much time with me with all my questions and took so much time during my procedure and I felt very very cared for. He is so talented and I'm just so happy. I can't say enough good things and I feel like what I wrote just now doesn't even do him justice. He is the BEST!!!! read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Saulny for a consult. It was at 10 am. I was finally moved from the main waiting room to the inside waiting room. At 11:15 his nurse 'apologized' and said he was running late (really?) because of an unexpected procedure but she'd move me into a room soon. At 11:30 she moved me into an exam room and said 'he'll be right with you.' At 11:40 I left, stopping at the front desk to tell them how upset I was about this and no, I didn't want to rebook. Ever. That was two days ago. I would've expected a call from him or his staff with some sort of apology. Wonder what would happen if I sent him a bill for my time.... read more

I saw Dr stanley for my eyelid surgery, he said i am a good candidate, so during the surgery, he was super nervous and his nurse was rude , so the result was awful, is like double skirt and everyone asking me what's going on with your eyelid.. So big no ti Dr stanley. read more

I went to see Dr. Saulny as I had Ptosis. I was feeling terrible and embarrassed about my droopy eyelid. Dr. Saulny was referred to me by Dr. Sanders in Encino. Dr. Saulny did a fantastic job and I can't say enough good things about him. I look back to normal, just like magic! He is awesome! He has given me my confidence back and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I feel so lucky to have found him. This is 4 days after stitches were removed. read more

I wish I could give Dr. Saulny and his team a million stars. He was my surgeon to correct my ptosis and from start to finish I felt cared for, safe and my results are amazing. I can actually take pictures of myself again! And, you can't even tell I had the surgery even just a few weeks post-op. Dr. Saulny's team are the most supportive and empathetic. I was very anxious for the surgery and they couldn't have been nicer and more supportive. I wish Dr. Saulny could be my doctor for all my surgical needs! read more

Just laying here, icing my eyes, after eyelid lift by Dr. Stan Saulny of OAS in West Hills. Over the years, I have had several operations for my glaucoma and therefore droopy lids. My glaucoma specialist, Dr. Mark Kramer, highly recommended Dr. Saulny. I hesitated for awhile because I'm such an anxious person but finally decided to take the plunge. I was most afraid of getting the injection to numb the eyelids. Well was I surprised and overjoyed, no pain at all! Dr Saulny talked to my husband and I while he numbed the area first and then injected the super numbing med. No problems! Dr. Saulny is a very kind, caring, reassuring, witty man with a real feel for his patients. He, along with his terrific assistant T, and myself laughed a lot through the actual surgery. I am so pleased with the results, I can see to read, watch TV, go on my computer and see the world through two wide open eyes. Dr. Saulny and T are the very best. Forgot to mention, Dr. Saulny called me the night of the surgery to check up on me and gave me his number for any problems, that is real dedication! read more

Just did my eye lids again after 6 years. The doctor did a excellent job again. My wife said I look 10 years younger, plus my vision is a lot better from having droopy eye lids. The doctor is Amazing, very caring, even called me at home in the evening to check on me, Find me a doctor who does that anymore. As a optomalogist I give him a 10 Plus. Thank for everything !!!!!! read more

Dr. Saulny is just great. My issue was drooping eyelids obscuring my field of vision. I needed eyelid lifts to remedy my situation. Having never experienced any kind of plastic surgery prior, to say I was nervous was an understatement. However, Dr. Saulny and his staff were simply the best. They took their time explaining the entire procedure, examined my eyes repeatedly and insured I was very familiar with my aftercare needs, ensuring that I had the products required. By the time I had the procedure, I was completely at ease. The staff prepped me, Dr. Saulny came in to go over what we were going to do as well as reviewing what I could expect during the recovery period. It turned out much easier than I expected. No pain and it was over in no time, both eyes. Recovery and suture removal went very smoothly, and the results are great. I often get compliments on how my eyes look and more importantly my vision is much improved. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Saulny! read more

I was first introduced to the idea of a brow lift when my ophthalmologist, Dr. Elkins (I highly recommend as well) physically lifted my eyelids and asked me if I could see better during a routine eye exam. It was clear, the time had come that I needed a brow lift. Dr. Saulny fit me into his schedule (he's popular) the next day. My experience with surgeons is they have amazing hands and minds, but they're abrupt. I was really happy that Dr. Saulny is not only a brilliant surgeon, but also displays kindness, and a willingness to really listen. I had reservations about this procedure. I did not want the "surprised" look, and I like my face. I talked to Dr. Saulny about my reservations and took his time showing me before and after pictures of the same surgery I was to have. Also, he encouraged me to take my time with this decision and he would do it at a later date if that's what I wanted. He was not pushy!!! He wanted me to be good with my decision. I decided to go ahead with it and Cathy, the surgery coordinator was amazing! She dealt with my insurance company, and my many calls prior to the surgery. Cathy is not only on top of things and very knowledgeable, but she is also very sweet and has a lovely disposition. I went for the procedure yesterday. Lauren, Dr. Saulny's nurse was great. She's funny, attentive and made me feel at ease. All of the above are really important, but the most important is the outcome. I think I look great and so does my husband! I'm still me when I look in the mirror except I look much more awake. Dr. Saulny really has a genius touch. I could not be happier with the results. I recommend Dr. Saulny and staff with no hesitation. read more

a brilliant doctor- also very kind and assuring. A very gifted physician.

I had Ptosis years ago. Dr. Saulny operated my left eye twice and my right eye three times. The sizes of my eyes do not match after the operations, my left eye looks bigger than my right eye. Although I look better after Dr. Saulny's surgeries and I appreciated it because I had a sleepy look from drooping eyelids, I probably need to see another plastic surgeon to have my eyes fixed again. read more

Worst experience of my life. He is an eye surgeon not a plastic surgeon. My eyelid Surgery did not come out even. My eyes don't match like they use to. He didn't care , didn't want to fix it. Not around for emergencies since he works out of state, he will text you. He's overly confident than has nothing to say when your not happy with the results, acts like it's not a big deal When it's your face. Go to a plastic surgeon. Don't go to someone who offers you a deal. Had to go to a plastic surgeon to get one eyelid fixed . read more

I do NOT recommend Dr. Saulny for eyelid surgery. I am absolutely dissatisfied with my eyelid surgery. My eyelids had become "hooded" and I lost the dept of my eyes. In an effort to make my eyes look "natural" the doctor left a tremendous amount of hooded tissue still on my eyes. With the exception of scars (and thick raised scars in the inner corners of my eyes that make me look crossed-eyed), it doesn't even look like I had the surgery. Dr. Saulny wouldn't do anything to rectify. read more

This is for the OAV office in Encino & Dr. Saulny, visit on June 20th, 2018: I cannot begin to describe the relief I feel after seeing Dr. Saulny for my blocked tear duct. I saw him last year in June 2017 for the issue, and he successfully performed the lacrimal irrigation on my right eye, but mentioned there is always a possibility it could come back. Fast-forward to April 2018 and I moved out of LA to Las Vegas and my issue came back. I went to 2 doctors in Las Vegas and none were successful with a lacrimal irrigation, which is surprising because it seems to me, if you all studied the same thing as Dr. Saulny, how come he is the only one who succeeds? That's because Dr. Saulny is amazing and he really cares about his patients. The oculoplastic surgeon in Las Vegas could not irrigate me after 1 attempt and immediately said I needed DCR surgery and would not perform another lacrimal irrigation. I was very skeptical and scared because surgery is the LAST resort and called OAV right away to schedule an appointment with Dr. Saulny as a cash patient (as i am no longer covered in California). The office was super accommodating and scheduled me 2 weeks from when I called. Dr. Saulny's 1st try it didn't go through , but he persisted one more time and he got through the second time! Dr. Saulny explained that there are a few options in my case with procedures, but that a DCR is the most successful. I appreciate his insight and honesty, he knows I am not keen on a DCR as I am afraid of all the negative effects I have read about. He suggested a balloon procedure (although not performed by Dr. Saulny, he recommended someone who can) and also to see an ENT since the blockage might have been caused by trauma to my nose. I will say, the wait is a bit long, even if you come on time or early. My appointment was for 2:15pm, I was seen by the tech around 2:20 ish and then waited for the doctor and was seen at 2:58. I know sometimes you have to wait for doctors, you don't know if the previous patient took a bit longer. It was a bit frustrating though as we drove from Las Vegas the day before for the appointment and my fiance took off 2 days to "work from home". If we had known the wait was so long, he could have brought his computer to work in the waiting room. That being said, the drive was worth it. The lady that helped me when I went to check out and pay was incredibly helpful and nice. I appreciate when the staff is accommodating and friendly, not just looking at you like another transaction. A smile goes a long way! That and Dr. Saulny's bedside manner is excellent. He is funny and knowledgeable, explains things to you so you can understand them. We Facetimed my parents in Las Vegas and he was accommodating to them as well and answered their questions. Thank you Dr. Saulny and OAV! read more

I trusted the referral to Dr. Saulny from my longtime ophthalmologist at that same office with the necessity to do a biopsy of a bump on my eyelid. Being ultra concerned about the change to such a focal point on my face, along with being a huge baby about anything medical; I did my homework and felt confident with Saulny. Two minutes with him and I felt I made the right decision... so much so, that I followed his referral for a dermo to do the Mohs procedure necessary, and despite the dermo's ability to do the reconstructive surgery afterwards; I insisted that Dr. Saulny do the plastic surgery repair. I'm so glad I did !!! My wife (unlike me) had the stomach to watch his artistry as he meticulously decided to use a couple of techniques to make the repairs invisible. His bedside manner is calming, assured, and caring... his staff wonderful, and his talent is stellar. After the surgery he gave me his cell# in case I had any questions prior to the followup appointment. Simply the best. read more

Great office. Great Doctor. Doctor was pleasant with a great bedside manner. I would recommend him & his staff to everyone! !

This is my second visit to Dr.Saulny, at the Encino office. On both occasions" I have had a ridiculous wait. This last time was over an hour! I was very annoyed that the office staff didn't contact me to say, "come later, he's running behind". I drive a far distance to come to this office, additionally the parking cost @$10 for an hour. I complained to him and got a lot of attitude. I will never use him again. read more

My eyelids were affecting my vision and I made an appointment to see Dr. Saulny after a recommendation by a friend. Upon meeting him for the first time, I was immediately comfortable and impressed with his genuine personality and professional attitude. I had a very thorough eye exam and Dr. Saulny said blepharoplasty would be the solution. My surgery was two weeks ago. I experienced no pain. I iced my eyelids as often as recommended and this reduced the swelling. I healed very well and my vision is so much better. I am beyond happy with the results and it's only been 2 weeks! Thank you Dr. Saulny, thank you OAV office staff and nurses. read more

I have been going to Dr. Saulny for a while now. I went to his other associates but I prefer him. He is kind, generous, and very thorough. Most people don't know this I am sure but he does the best cosmetic work on the planet. He is a genius with botox and fillers. I have been harmed by other so-called specialists, but Dr. Saulny does such a magnificent job no one knows I am being helped due to the advancements of medicine. I would recommend him over a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist for help with those pesky wrinkles. He is also a pleasure to go to, his assistant, Alex is a riot. And he is reasonable to boot. read more

I have been going to Dr. Saulny for about 7 years and I have only had great results. Again last week I had pain to my eyes and a twitch in my right eye for weeks. He discovered Corneal burn to my eyes and treated it as well as making a quick injection to my right lid which resolved the twitch completely in 2 days. He has never steered me wrong and has kept my eyes healthy for a very long time. read more
