This casual place offered meals that made our family and tummies happy! We didn't get a chance to try their desserts but they looked very yummy. Great experience for delicious British food! A shout-out to the kind staff (name unknown but we think he was the manager) who gave us a ride into town to catch the Southfields underground because there was no Uber available at 4pm and it was raining hard! Thank you!!!

The prices are silly, but they have a decent range of basic lunchables (food nothing special but does the job), and lots of treats like buns, toasted teacakes and ice creams. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, dog and child friendly. Friendly staff. There's a massive windmill. Yes, a massive windmill, green green Wimbledon Common grass as far as the eye can see, frolicking pets and toddlers, beaming couples, cyclists, birds, wide open sky, trees blowing in the breeze... ...it's a lovely spot for a cuppa. I'm a fan, mainly because of it's location and convenience, but I wouldn't go so far as 'yay', so it's a high a-ok for me.

I saw other people having the same problem. Today I had a salmon sandwich on Focaccia bread and the salmon was fresh and succulent and the bread top notch and tasty. My cappucino was also very good...in a paper cup. This is one of the best places to snack along the South Bank and I'll keep coming back.

The inside is unique as we discovered the outdoor rooftop eating area after several stairways and tight turns. The restaurant area is surprisingly large. We ate in the upstairs outdoor area which was charming. For my order, I tried to order the scone meal but they were out of them so I got the bacon and egg sandwich on a brioche bun as a backup. It came with two hash brown triangles and was fresh and filling and very yummy. My dining companions had the Veg Cockney which is a full vegetarian breakfast and another had the Eggs Scotland (Eggs Benedict with Scottish smoked salmon). I tried a bit of each and enjoyed them. The Clarence Court Leghorn Eggs they use have a brilliant orange-ish yellow to the yolk and I swear they taste better than the ones in the States. This is cute place with great homemade food that hits the spot!

The portions are large and the menu is extensive. Loads of options for anyone. There was a large drinks menu aswell, both cafe style and bar style. It's location is so perfect, as a non local, this is everything I ever wanted in a London brunch spot! So greatful I found this place and it will absolutely be my go-to next time I'm in London!

The Chicago Museum of Art cafe revolutionized the way people look at eating lunch or snacking at a museum. Thus the Tate Modern held up my rather high bar for museum cuisine. I had a very tasty chicken club sandwich with chips (English fries). It was a bountiful sandwich so I was assured I could spend endless hours looking at really beautiful art and not have to worry about what me or my family was going to do for dinner. My wife and one of my sons had chicken Caesar salads which they both devoured. My other son had a portobello mushroom sandwich which he ate ever so slow. A sure sign he was enjoying it. On a side note, I had one of the better colas I've ever drank: Fentiman's Botanically Brewed Curiosity Cola. Yum is all I can say about this beverage. I wasn't sure it would be enough to fill me up, so I got the Halloumi/Sausage/Avocado Toast, too. Everything was great, especially, the tea! The Bad: The service wasn't very inviting nor was it attentive or even kind. I'm not sure of why our server/host was so abrasive, but he was. I didn't feel at all like I was in a cafe, but rather more like I was in the home of a host who was not expecting my arrival...in New York. Overall, this was a good change of pace and good tea. While I will applaud the food and tea, I can't suggest coming here without having rather low expectations regarding service and host attitude. Maybe it was just a bad day, and having one unpopular experience isn't fair to this location. As of today, I give the food/tea a "4" but the service gets a poor "2."
