Mmmm I'm still thinking about the chicken sandwich I had at Sauced recently, and it's been a few weeks! Firstly I should say that Sauced has been on my list for a long time and I just happened to be in the crossroads when a meeting ended just at the right time to get something to take home with me before another meeting. I quickly pulled up Yelp and saw that Sauced wasn't far from where I was so an online order was placed and I was on my way to pick it up. Something to note is that Sauced is somewhat hard to find. I drove to where Google said it was and after driving around the block twice I just parked and started walking towards the dot on my screen. Turns out the dot was correct and it's kind of hidden in this courtyard off the main road. I'm not sure what they could do to improve visibility, but I was a bit lost for a minute before I found my way there. Once I was there it was easy to pick up my to-go order and I was on my way in a jiffy. At home the sandwich was really amazing. No notes, 10/10 would eat again. The fries did not hold up well to transit through and while not bad, were not the crispy goodness I was hoping for. I'd like to return to dine on one of their picnic benches (it's a food stand) to really try everything super fresh, but since it's kind of set up as a takeaway spot I do wish the fries were crispy enough from the onset to withstand 15 minutes in a bag. All of that aside, you come here for the sandwiches and they are probably one of the best in town. I'll be back!

First, hope you have the time to drive around a little bit to find this place because it is tucked away in a seated area. I think i had to go around the block a couple of times to realize where this was located. There also isn't any designated parking so you'll just have to hope you get lucky getting a parking spot nearby. When I arrived, the line wasn't too long but it certainly took a while for my order to get in. When you check in on Yelp, you get a coupon of 20% off your first order. I showed this coupon to the person taking my order and they looked extremely confused and said they weren't on yelp and that they don't accept that coupon. I finally just said okay don't worry about it, exited out of the coupon then he was able to find where he could apply the coupon but it was too late by then :// Let's jump into the food. Make sure you come here with an appetite! The two hand burger was huge, greasy, salty, fattening. I managed to finish my burger but was extremely bloated at the end.. probably because of all that salt (not a bad thing) The seasoned fries although they looked seasoned.. they didn't have much of a seasoned taste, tasted almost unseasoned? Their sauce is what makes it. I wish i could describe what their sauce tastes like but dip your burger in this sauce!! it tastes waaay better with the burger than the fries. Overall, I would come back to Sauced. Their burgers were juicy, greasy, saucy, fatty... everything you want in a burger.

Delicious Burger shack with outdoor seating. Definitely will be back. Menu is super simple. Pictures worth a thousand words right? Well mine was the 2 hands burger, flavorful and greasy good lol. Side of seasoned fries with a side of garlic aoli.

The One Hand is like the perfect burger. It reminds me of a homemade burger, the crisp ends on the juicy beef patty make you forget that there is not mayo or mustard and none are needed. It's a one man show and he's rocking the joint Located at the crossroads rail stop, customers can walk through the garage for quicker access.

Hidden gem! We were wandering around and just happened to find this place by following our noses. Great service, great food.

Messed up my order ordered chocked sandwich with mushrooms got onions all over my sandwich they don't have a number to call I got the food on my lunch break back at work and I can't eat this it's covered in onions and no one to reach out to big let down

After I let some of the initial exuberance die down I would just amend the stars to 4 instead of 5. A very good burger but not top notch on size or total package at this price point. Everything else I wrote is still correct.

Good burger. Fries were cold and left the paper on the cheese when they cooked my burger.

Sauced may be one of the most secluded lunch spots in town. It is in the heart of The Crossroads near 19th and Main, but in a back alley between a bank and Corrington Station with very little street visibility. The menu is about as small as the walk-up building itself. Burgers, brisket and chicken sandwiches, wings and fries are featured. I went with the single smash burger with bacon and cheddar cheese and a side of fries. The fries had a black peppery seasoning and the burger was thin, cheesy and juicy with 2 thick slices of medium cooked bacon. A great little lunch. The alley has plenty of seating, but that won't work for the winter months. Plan on getting it to go. This should be a crowded little lunch spot come nice weather.

    A cute outside area!

It was good--I honestly would prefer Chickfila since I think their buns are softer and their chicken tastes better/crispier, but this is a good alternative and worth trying! I especially liked the outdoor area since you could work or bring your dog or just relax while eating a burger! I will be trying this place again to see if maybe the chicken is crispier next time I go...not sure if it was a one-off thing!

I'm excited just thinking about it. But oh man was I hoping for better. And I think this place could get there, if they can change some things. Joyce and Brandy laid it out well, so I'll just echo some main points: - The food could be better. Apparently it has been before. What I saw felt pretty low effort, the crispiness wasn't there. (South) Korean Fried Chicken is amazing because even with those delicious sauces, the chicken stays crispy. Best of both worlds! These wings were soggy. I didn't feel great after eating the meal. It wasn't ideal. - The service was nonexistent. I came up to the human at the counter, who directed me not to talk to her but to put in my order on the screen to the side. I hate these. I hate them so much. The UX on the terminal was clunky, the navigation in particular was so bad that there were whole sections of the menu that seemed to be missing. I now know to swipe left on the headers to scroll right to a second page of root-level categories, but be honest, just reading that in a sentence is confusing and annoying. Some people may like kiosks. That's fine! But mandating them is awkward and obnoxious. - I'm still on the service. There's a big menu. There are paper menus. There are little signs advertising fun looking items. I already know what I want. It is so much easier and more enjoyable to order with a real human and get their help. Why put the added friction of learning a clunky interface? An employee would be fluent in the system even if it's bad. And if my case is any indication, it's not helping their sales. I would totally have ordered more dishes if I'd known that was an option. It just looked like they were out so it wasn't available. - After putting in the order, I was prompted for a tip for the service. Which just felt like a coup de grace to my psyche. - It felt like there was no heart here. That's probably an ownership issue. I'm sympathetic to a point, it's not easy in general and there's a lot of pressure to cut costs (especially with the tariff arsonist disrupting supply chains). But the vibe here was dismal, you could feel it in the food and the staff. The space itself seems set up well to have large groups and good times. Could be a fun spot. But right now, the impression I get is that aside from the wings the kitchen does a lot of prepackaged instant food. So I'm not sure what they're trying to be - a decent wing place, or more of a fast-food/gas station type of spot. A vending machine with a deep fryer. Like I said before, this place has potential to be great if they can change some things. They're just going to have to want to. I'm rooting for them.

I come here because it is convenient, always has been for me and now even more so because of the streetcar and because of the self serve beer wall. If that intimidates you don't fret because there is a full bar and some taps behind the bar the bartenders can serve you from. Sometimes I choose to do this because the beer wall can get pricey quickly but, it's a novel and fun concept that works for downtown. The food though I feel is overpriced, like why am I paying $15 for tots that are barely topped with toppings and really aren't even a sizable portion? Last time I was here to watch the Chiefs game I ordered the Rueben Tots expecting a fun pile of classic Rueben sandwich components on top of hot crispy greasy tots instead what I received was a small mound of stringy corned beef and a slice of melted Swiss cheese and a dismal drizzle of thousand island. I had to ask for more sauce on the side because it just wasn't enough for the amount of tots. If these would have been between $10-$12 maybe I would have let it slide and this review would have been different but for $15 I just wasn't too happy. Also, another note the menu online has absolutely no descriptions whatsoever so, if you're trying to place a pickup order good luck knowing what you're actually ordering. This could be an easy fix. The service is okay but sometimes it feels like you have to chase down the wait staff or just walk up to the bar to get another drink or ask for a menu. I'm sure happy hour is fine here but I haven't been for years so, I'm not sure if the prices have gone up for that too. Will I be back? Well yes but, I'll definitely order something different from the menu then the last time around. Maybe 4 sliders for $15 is a better way to go? Because I've also gotten the Rueben sandwich here before for $15 and I felt like it was sparse and the meat was lacking. I do believe they have a pretty good burger deal on Monday unless that has changed.
