We ordered take out for lunch. Three burgers and two fries. The guys in the truck were friendly and had the food ready to go when I arrived. Location is in between two buildings and on the map it looks like it's down an alley, but it's actually in a nicely kept patio/breezeway between the buildings. It also has a nice gate that blocks the cars/street view so you're really tucked away in there. Would be a great spot to grab lunch on a nice day and enjoy the sunshine on the patio. As far as the food... the fries didn't hold up for take out but would probably be good if eaten right away. Seasoned well and good portioned size, but like warm and soggy by the time we got to them. I would give them a 2/5. The burgers were a different story- 4/5. The buns held up under two smash patties and plenty of juices and sauces. Yum. I'll grab a burger again. Bathroom Situation- No idea. Mmmm I'm still thinking about the chicken sandwich I had at Sauced recently, and it's been a few weeks! Firstly I should say that Sauced has been on my list for a long time and I just happened to be in the crossroads when a meeting ended just at the right time to get something to take home with me before another meeting. I quickly pulled up Yelp and saw that Sauced wasn't far from where I was so an online order was placed and I was on my way to pick it up. Something to note is that Sauced is somewhat hard to find. I drove to where Google said it was and after driving around the block twice I just parked and started walking towards the dot on my screen. Turns out the dot was correct and it's kind of hidden in this courtyard off the main road. I'm not sure what they could do to improve visibility, but I was a bit lost for a minute before I found my way there. Once I was there it was easy to pick up my to-go order and I was on my way in a jiffy. At home the sandwich was really amazing. No notes, 10/10 would eat again. The fries did not hold up well to transit through and while not bad, were not the crispy goodness I was hoping for. I'd like to return to dine on one of their picnic benches (it's a food stand) to really try everything super fresh, but since it's kind of set up as a takeaway spot I do wish the fries were crispy enough from the onset to withstand 15 minutes in a bag. First, hope you have the time to drive around a little bit to find this place because it is tucked away in a seated area. There also isn't any designated parking so you'll just have to hope you get lucky getting a parking spot nearby. Make sure you come here with an appetite! The two hand burger was huge, greasy, salty, fattening. I managed to finish my burger but was extremely bloated at the end.. probably because of all that salt (not a bad thing) The seasoned fries although they looked seasoned.. they didn't have much of a seasoned taste, tasted almost unseasoned? Their sauce is what makes it. I wish i could describe what their sauce tastes like but dip your burger in this sauce!! it tastes waaay better with the burger than the fries. Funny thing is, we're from DFW, Texas and there's a smash burger place in Grapevine that's also called Sauce'd! Regardless, my husband dropped me off as close as he could and I walked between some gates to find myself at a nice looking food stand in between two buildings. The order I had placed just a short 15 minutes ago was already ready for me! My husband got the double Patty smash burger and I got the single -- both with pepper jack cheese. I also ordered some chicken tenders for my kiddos. The kids ate UP the tenders while we were in the car and I stole a teeny bite. It WAS good. When we finally got to our hotel, we SMASHED our smashburgers because it was honestly the best smashburgers we've ever had. We were so shocked at how good it was and how it was even better than our Sauce'd back home. We almost wished we ordered more so that we could heat it up the next day! Perfect night for a burger on a patio and a quick search near me brought up sauced. 20% off for first check in even better. Little bit of a line but they were flipping those patties faster than a black Jack dealer. Added a salad for a balanced meal, but than uh oh hit a little snag. They do not do the 20% off check in. Sauced may be one of the most secluded lunch spots in town. It is in the heart of The Crossroads near 19th and Main, but in a back alley between a bank and Corrington Station with very little street visibility. The menu is about as small as the walk-up building itself. Burgers, brisket and chicken sandwiches, wings and fries are featured. I went with the single smash burger with bacon and cheddar cheese and a side of fries. The fries had a black peppery seasoning and the burger was thin, cheesy and juicy with 2 thick slices of medium cooked bacon. A great little lunch. The alley has plenty of seating, but that won't work for the winter months. Plan on getting it to go. This should be a crowded little lunch spot come nice weather. read more

It was good--I honestly would prefer Chickfila since I think their buns are softer and their chicken tastes better/crispier, but this is a good alternative and worth trying! I have been dreaming about sauce for about 2 years since I started following them on social media, and I will continue dreaming about these sandwiches for the foreseeable future. Conveniently located in a fun little alley/courtyard mere steps from the street car stop on 19th with lots of seating. Honest and true shout out to the one employee who was running the register and doing all the cooking -- the food came out super fast, considering. The blackened Cajun chicken sandwich was crispy, and the bun was perfectly fluffy and buttery. The burgers had perfect crispy smash burger edges. And don't forget to order sauces like we did on the first go. We loved the garlic aioli, house sauce, and sassy sauce. Great vibes in the courtyard. Can't wait to adventure back here. If I worked downtown I would be here for lunch too often. I came here 3 times and on the third I decided I had to give the place a review - I read some of the lower reviews when I pulled up yelp and I was genuinely offended lol. This place has a unique food truck style vibe (out door seating only so mind the weather) the aesthetic is legit: modern, hip, spacious, unique , plus it's kind of tucked away so it gives off a local only hidden gem type of vibe. Perfect for brining a date. In addition, every time I've been here, the owner himself is serving food and taking care of things. There is a certain "flavor" that comes with having the owner of a place in the actual in and outs of the place that adds an extremely rare level of pride in service. 10 out of 5! Ok, I really hate to give Sauced two stars, but this visit unlike in the past left something to be desired. I ordered 2 two hand double smash patties and an order of fries. I omitted the dijon aioli and added ketchup instead (fyi:the specialty house ketchup is too sweet). The burgers were extremely sloppy and the bun literally fell apart. It seemed as though it was made 'any-old-kinda-way' (all the meat was on one side of the bun) which was a huge let-down and to top it off, the prices apparently have gone up which is understandable, however the website needs to reflect the price change. What should've been 20.25+ tax was around 9.00 more which put the check at nearly 30.00. Of course I paid, but was only expecting to pay what the menu reflected. My burger was NOT good at all; what a waste. I realize every cook has his/her own spin on preparing food, however how difficult is it to throw burgers on a grill and neatly place each topping on and add a bun? I'm unsure of what happened, but it left a hot taste in my mouth, literally as it seemed the top on the pepper fell off thus spreading waaay too much pepper on the burger. Prices are more than reasonable, and fries are only $2.50 for enough fries for 2-3 people. The ketchup was definitely homemade which I don't typically love, but there's was phenomenal. According to other reviews, I messed up not getting a side of ranch as well. I had the Two Hand Burger, and it lived up to its name - large and in charge! NOTE: I only updated this review because I thought my original review had been deleted. This stand was the epitome of "looks can be deceiving". Tucked away in an alley by Corrigan Station, I was so excited to try this place and the food was so picturesque. That is why I was so disappointed. Everything looked right and smelled right. The fragrance of burnt butter had me excited for a toasted bun. Instead, the bun was slathered in butter, warmed, and soggy. The burger patties themselves were doused in some form of black pepper seasoning that could not be shook. Each bit was as if someone had poured a shaker of black pepper directly on my tongue. Sadly, their chicken used the same seasoning. Just an abhorrent, bold, lingering spice blend. The toppings on my burger were off and there was nothing "sauced" about my burger except for the grody butter. They also went a solid half hour without changing out the fries so they were frigid and limp. I was thankful for something to soothe the burn of the burger. Ironically, the one thing on the menu listed as "seasoned" was the one thing on the menu without any seasoning flavor at all. I have had over 100 Kansas City burgers and I can easily say, this is the worst. Why anyone would think it's a good idea to do grossly over-season a Patty like that is beyond me. The awful burn of that sandwich is not something I'll soon forget. I did not know such picturesque food could be so awful. read more

We happened upon this downtown gem and were not disappointed! This hidden little outdoor pop up has everything I need in a burger - heft, grease and fixins. The service is quick and efficient, fries hot and the sauce is phenomenal. There's spacious seating, hanging egg style chairs and an overall harmonious vibe.
