I highly recommend Saterno Inspections to anyone looking for a thorough, knowledgeable, and professional home inspector. We had a previous inspection done on our property, so I was amazed by how many important details Steve found that had been completely missed during the first inspection. He was incredibly thorough and paid attention to details that I would have never thought to look for. His photos and documentation were also excellent and really helped us understand exactly what was going on with the property. One of the things I really appreciated about Steve was his online inspection portal. The report was very organized and included so many helpful photos, which made it easy to see exactly what he was referring to and where each issue was located. It was especially helpful when we were trying to figure out which items needed the most attention. I also loved that the portal made it so easy to go through the issues and select the specific items we wanted to bring to the sellers for repairs or a price reduction. It saved us so much time and even created a clean, professional document that we could use for our requests. This made the entire process so much easier and more organized. I also had several questions for Steve after the inspection, and he was very responsive and helpful. He found one serious issue with the house that I had absolutely no idea how to deal with, and I really appreciated being able to reach out to him and get his insight. Having someone knowledgeable who could answer my questions and help me better understand the situation gave me a lot of peace of mind. In the end, we decided to move forward with purchasing the home. We knew there was work that needed to be done, but because Steve was so thorough, we felt confident moving forward with the purchase and knew what we were getting into. His inspection gave us a much clearer picture of the property's condition and helped us feel comfortable making such a major investment. Buying a home can be stressful, especially when you uncover unexpected issues, but having Steve as our inspector made a huge difference. I truly appreciated how thorough he was, how responsive he was to my questions, and how easy he made the entire inspection process. I am so grateful for the work he did and for the confidence his inspection gave us in moving forward with our purchase. I would absolutely recommend Steve and Saterno Inspections to anyone buying a home, and I would not hesitate to use him again in the future! read more

Had a great experience hiring Rusty from Saturno InspectIons for my home. They were very responsive, thorough & great communicators. I appreciated Rusty's professionalism on the job & on the phone. Saturno Inspections gave our home a very thorough inspection. Rusty is very knowledgeable about homes in the Truckee area and what possible problems may arise related to our climate, etc. Following his inspection, he sat down with us and went through all the details of what he found. We appreciated this so much as we better understand the state of all the workings inside and out, as well as any deterioration of our home. He encouraged questions, as well. Exactly as promised; very thorough--caught a handful of things the builder didn't catch during his own walkthroughs (new construction) that we were able to include as requiring repair in our offer to buy the property. Surprisingly, when I called him directly he was kind, responsive and happy to answer any questions I had...from past experience inspectors are often a little antisocial, but this guy seems like your best friend and advocate when you call. Short version: We could NOT be happier. read more

His final reports are superb and do an excellent job describing potential repairs clearly, in layman's terms. Steve is professional, timely, accommodating, and incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend him as a home inspector. My parents are both architects and engineers and they were beyond impressed with his reports, which show Steve's Engineering background and his attention to detail. Go with Steve, he's one to trust. I had ordered a mold sample and Steve even recommended that we hold on that charge and instead, just let him inspect and decide if he needed to use a mold kit. He's a stand up guy! read more
