He suggested I do the fraxel laser for face and neck and the pico for my abundant sun spots (and he didn't yell at me for the sun damage, but did encourage hats and sunscreen for the future). I had both laser treatments and I am honestly both annoyed and elated to report a huge improvement in my skin. Sure, I wanted it to work, but also I'm like ok, so this is part of my yearly skin routine now I guess. They numb you up, which feels bonkers but doesn't hurt. You just get your face slathered with a numbing cream. The laser itself isn't the most comfortable feeling, but it's not the worst either. You will have some downtown (they are not secretive about this and really help with lots of post treatment information. You're gonna feel like you had a sunburn, then be a little sore, then itchy and flaky, and then, then- you are going to look f*c*ing radiant! While the quality of services may be strong, the administrative side of the business is clearly disorganized and undermines the overall experience. I received an unsolicited email from Sanctuary early in January, saying goodbye to the other spa and saying they would honor gift certificates from that spa. I called IMMEDIATELY to make sure I would be able to use my certificate, as they said they would honor it. Except they don't. First, they couldn't find my number in the certificate list, the list was hard to read, it was a hassle, etc. They didn't call me back. So I went there, they made copies of the certificate, and said they would get back to me, never did. I called the company that issued the original certificate, and they said Sanctuary should absolutely accept the certificate. But when I went back, they said no, they were no longer accepting any gift certificates, there's no room for regular clients (didn't they tell me they couldn't look me up?), and I should try to understand their position. How about this... If you don't want to accept the gift certificates, don't send me an unsolicited email saying you will. And then don't make me work hard for nearly a month to tell me you won't accept it. This has to be one of most horrible new business development ideas of all time. One year and 3 treatments later, after following all instructions perfectly in addition to going above and beyond to be sure I was doing my part, my nail situation is worse, not one bit better. I was assured the entire time that I just needed to continue following instructions and scheduling appointments. No results. Now they're refusing a refund, stating that it's just a written guarantee that it works, meaning they'll continue treating at "no cost". I'd rather get that whopping $500 back for this bogus treatment then continue playing this game. Now I have to take Lamisil and risk my liver, or just live with this problem forever. Dr. Wu at the University of Penn Department of Plastic Surgery I made the horrible mistake of not doing my research before forking over $1,000 for treatment. I was in town visiting and decided to squeeze in a wax. I booked an appointment here pretty last minute via their app (super convenient, highly recommend). I only had to wait a few minutes. The person who waxed me, I can't remember her name, was very friendly but didn't spend the entire session talking my ear off, either. She did a bunch of shit they never do at my home location. She started with a nice dousing of what seemed to be baby powder. I'm not sure what the purpose of that was but I am intrigued. She did her thing and right before finishing, she noticed there were a few patches she missed and went back and GOT THEM. Mind blown. Great experience.

Anyone that has any sort of customer service experience would have asked for information and if the call can be returned in x minutes or if I could call back in x mins as opposed to putting on hold indefinitely. When I called back a third time later asked for her name, when the manager would be in, and also suggested that in the future offering a callback, she stated that she was the manager (which I have a hard time believing as she spoke like a rude teenager) and that their corporate policy was that she had to put me on hold indefinitely as she could not call customers back. If this is really the corporate policy it does not prioritize customer service and your staff should be trained in phone etiquette and customer service.
