I chose this salon because it's where I used to go to Kevin, and I had no idea he was no longer working there. I stayed and decided to give the salon a try anyway. The pedicure itself was nice, and I received what I asked for. I would rate the pedicure service around a 7/10. However, I did have concerns about sanitation. After my pedicure, I noticed that the tools used on me were left on the technician's cart rather than being taken somewhere for cleaning or sanitation. That really concerned me, especially after reading other reviews mentioning similar concerns. I understand that I may not know the salon's exact sanitation process, but from a customer's perspective, it did not give me confidence that the tools were properly sanitized. Unfortunately, my experience with my fingernails was very different. I originally had gel on my natural nails and decided to have them redone with a French gel design. I specifically asked for a French tip, but the first attempt was very uneven. The French tips were extremely thick, and each nail looked different from the others. I repeatedly asked if the technician could fix them because I wasn't happy with how they looked. She kept telling me she would fix them, but eventually became visibly frustrated and started complaining to another technician. Another lady came over and offered to redo the French tips, which I appreciated. The second technician did a better job overall, but I still noticed that the French on my index finger was much too thick. When I asked if it could be fixed, instead of removing and reapplying the gel, she filed my nails down significantly. I don't mind having short nails, and the almond shape itself was actually very pretty, but the thick and uneven French tips made the overall result look strange. What bothered me most was the way I felt during the service. I felt like I was being treated as though I was being difficult or asking for something unreasonable, when all I was asking was for the French tips to look consistent and clean. I consider myself a very easygoing customer and rarely complain about my nails. I wasn't asking for anything complicated or out of the ordinary--I simply wanted the French tips to look even on each nail. I'm also not someone who normally leaves reviews, but today's experience really bothered me. I didn't think to check the reviews beforehand because this is a salon in my hometown, and I had previously had great experiences here with Kevin. I used to leave the salon very happy with my nails, which is why I felt comfortable coming back. Looking at the reviews afterward, I realized that other customers have also had concerns about the service and sanitation. Overall, the pedicure was pleasant, but the sanitation concerns and the experience with my fingernails were disappointing. I especially didn't appreciate feeling uncomfortable for simply asking for the service to be corrected when the results were clearly uneven. Unfortunately, based on my experience today, I would not return.
