When my brother said we were going to be taking a road trip the next time I came in I was game. I am always up for a road trip, I always look to see what is in the area. When I saw this place was right around where we were going to be once we got into New York state, I convinced my brother that we have to stop here. Sassy's is so much more than a truck stop. It's a landmark in this area. As you can see by the rest of the reviews, people either love it or hate it. Along with the truck stop you obviously have fuel for regular vehicles. There is also a diner attached here and a convenience store with a tobacco outlet. For the sake of this review, I am going to focus on the convenience store portion. After the last long haul on the trip we were happy to make it here finally. Our first task was that we needed to use the facilities. We walked in and towards where the restrooms should be to only find them to be blocked off and a note instructing you to use the portapotties outside. Umm, don't do it, on a hot summer day, you will regret this immensely. Once back inside my brother and Dad were over at the counter asking about the tobacco and I was over in the souvenir section. Once I saw Sassy's, I was hoping to find a shirt or something to take with me. Unfortunately, all the shirts were sizes I couldn't fit. I'm not a fan of snapback hats so that was out. I ended up picking up a magnet because it was about the only thing I wanted at that point. It's not the best magnet, but it is a magnet nonetheless. I made a joke that a lot of people have heard of Buc-ee's, but not many know about his country cousin Sassy. I think you all should find out about her. Truck stops aren't what they used to be. Food and service both fail ! Meatloaf was extremely greasy. Never returned to get me a refill or ask how anything was. Epic fail ! Live and learn crash and burn. read more

It's truck stop food. Most truck stops now have fast food joints in them and Sassy's has an actual truck stop restaurant. I can't say it's the best food I have ever had but everything I have ever had there has been good. I recommend 100% better than any fast food joint. read more

Sassy used to have a very nice restaurant with a unique menu that appealed to everyone. Now, it seems over time the menu options are decreasing over time. One of my favorite was their Philly cheesesteak melts on a nice sour dough bread. No one did a Philly like Sassy. Sadly, they have removed the item. Another unique item that I haven't seen anywhere else was their chicken Blu bites, served with Blu cheese. It was amazing for those who tried it. Sadly, they did away with it, too. Options for restaurants are very limited for this area. I was driving to Pennsylvania to meet my family, and this was a halfway stop on the trip. I don't expect much from a truck stop, and I'm usually pretty apprehensive to eat at them, but the kids were hungry. This 4 star rating is primarily for the value and service, and not the actual quality of the food. It's truck stop food for sure. We were seated quickly, and had a very friendly server. She seemed a little overwhelmed by the volume of customers, but you could tell she was happy to be there, and tried to work as fast as possible. It was Friday, which meant they were serving fish fry specials. The price for a haddock fish fry was very reasonable, I believe $14? So I chose that. It was actually pretty good, just greasy. The cole slaw was flavorless but the sides made up for it. Their macaroni and cheese was quite good. They also served battered fries. The kids had normal diner food (hot dogs and grilled cheese) no complaints. Reasonable prices, fast deep fried and griddle foods. read more

I've been to Sassy's now three different times over the past five months. Each time it has gotten better. From the food to the restaurant decor to the staff. Their Sassy's Specialty Burgers are simply fantastic! I've tried their Classy Sassy Burger (topped with cole slaw, provolone cheese, peppered bacon & fried onion shavings) as well as their Super Sassy Burger (topped with provolone cheese, shaved prime rib and sautéed onions). Both burgers were juicy and had wonderful flavor! There were several other burgers on the menu I have yet to try, but eventually will get around to it. They also have a very good breakfast as well as daily lunch and dinner specials. Chicken Wing flavors range from your basic Mild, Medium and Hot to the other unique flavors such as Mango Habanero, Bourbon, Sticky Honey Soy.....and many more. Fish Fry on Friday's also. Only thing I could complain about would be their lack of WiFi. The location is in a 'dead zone'. read more

Tried Sassy's for breakfast today with the wife and my mom. Had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant with sausage. It was awesome. Chewy, melty, buttery, hot, and fresh. Wife got the bagel sandwich and loved it. It had quality, legit ham. No flimsy Canadian bacon here. Mom had biscuits and sausage gravy which was huge. Had a bite myself and the biscuits were very good. Only knock was the home fries. They're not very well seasoned and are not browned. They're more like lightly oiled boiled potatoes. Sure they'll grill 'em up if you ask. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Ordered a burger and fries to go. Asked that my burger to not be red and bloody. When I got home and opened the container I was surprised to see there was no bun. Called to see if that was how they served their burgers. I was told it wasn't. When I cut into the burger, guess what it was red and bloody. Called again and am waiting for the manager to call me back. My suggestion would be to look at your order before taking it. Oh, there was no pickle either. read more

great selection of prepared food, merchandise, drinks, and so much fun collectibles around. a large truck stop with plenty to offer, but slightly rude staff. as i was browsing, i was rudely interrupted by an employee as if i needed assistance, which of course i did not, but i decided to ask if they accepted apple pay, where i was replied with a sarcastic, rude no. this truck stop is well managed and very well supplied, just not the greatest experience with staff. read more

Worst service ever. my friend left his wallet at home had about 2/3 of the bill covered in cash but needed like 5 dollars more. so he left his apple watch so he could go grab his wallet. the manager came out and said that they don't accept "stolen property" and basically saying my friend couldn't afford the watch. being super nasty for no reason. eat at your own risk food isn't all that great either read more

Stop all the time on my way to Bradford. Hit or miss on the subs. I usually order turkey. Always on a toasted roll. Probably 2 out of ten times it is NOT toasted. I don't get it. What part of toasted don't they understand. They at first advertised they use costanzo's rolls. Now tonites was NOT. BTW they are open 24 hours now. read more
