Sass Cafe doesn't stand out amongst the many coffee hot spots of bridge road (partially because the large glass doors were closed despite the cafe being open), although maybe it should!
Stepping inside this cafe things do look a little run down, slightly worn away wooden tables and white concrete walls, but the staff greeted me with a big smile and took me to a table. Initially seeming small I later realised the cafe has an upstairs with more tables and seating as well as quite a cute little courtyard out the back. Great for sitting in the sunshine.
Only after a quick coffee I happily pulled out my purse when only being charged $2.90! Quite cheap for coffee by today's standards in my book. Another bonus, they have a free public internet connection here as well, so no time limits and no passwords.
