They are quite ahead of their time with various treatments as well, which makes you feel like they really are experts in their field. I feel it's time I talked about bikini waxing. Here, it's quite an art form. They even have a little chart that you can look at to see what you want, and all styles have names. I suppose some haircuts have names (the 'bob', the 'pageboy, the 'Rachel') so why not hair in, ahem, other places? They also have Peron Rigot Comfort Hot Wax, which reduces the pain of normal wax. As well as the available sunbeds, they have a few packages available which allow you to pay for a set of treatments; such as full body waxing (perfect if you're going on holiday) at a reduced rate which saves you lots of money whilst you relax and are made beautiful. They know their customer base and serve it well, with cheap prices and various offers for students, as well as obviously being located conveniently close to the University and Selly Oak train station. However, they also unfortunately encompass a lot of the negatives that go along with being a student-oriented business. The interior is not aesthetically pleasing to say the least, being quite plain and bare, unlike many of it's neighbouring competitors such as Hair Heads and Urban Angel Hair. The salon is quite small, meaning that it can get very busy at times, so I'd recommend booking in advance. Overall, not a bad place to pop in to, although there are better alternatives available if you're willing to go slightly further afield.

There were a number of prodcuts available for sale such as hairspray and styling products. On this occasion I only wanted a fringe trim so I was in and out in 10 minutes. The woman who was cutting my hair wasn't overly chatty but the service was quick, my fringe looked nice.

My hair was cut by the head stylist, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, and he did an excellent job, easily as good as some of the considerably more expensive salons in town such as Jacks. He appeared very knowledgeable about hair, and actually explained what he was doing and why, as well as giving various tips on how to keep the hair looking good, recommending various products (without trying to force me to buy them) and generally being easy to chat to. The wait for the (unbooked) cut wasn't particularly long, despite only one stylist working, and the wait was made much more bearable by the presence of a television and an unusually good selection of magazines. Recommended.
