Beautiful food! I stopped in here for the first time and will be back. The soup was hot and hearty lentil soup. The bread/ pita was fresh and chewy delicious. I also ordered the beautiful hummus. Oils and spices and fresh. Also the falafel sandwich, so crispy, tasty good. Great little find in Skokie just South of Old Orchard. Healthy, fresh food!

Wanted Mediterranean food as my last supper before returning home and came across this location. My uncle has seen it for years but has not stopped by and was glad this was the day. The server who seemed more like the owner, was very knowledgeable and proud of the menu. I ordered the grilled cat fish, which they are known for. We also ordered an appetizer "Maria" which was flat bread with seasoned ground meat. Lentil soups, green salad and falafel wrap. The portions were bountiful and the quality was excellent. Had leftovers to take home.It was a non rushed atmosphere with plenty seats inside. Parking in the street and a few spots in the back. Would return to enjoy again.

You feel like you're eating at someone's home when you're here. I mean that in the best way. The food feels like homemade goodness, simple and tasty. Chicken was juicy and flavorful! Store bought hummus can not compare to freshly made. And the owner is very sweet.

I have been on a Mediterranean kick and Sarra Grill always hits the spot!!! It is one of my go to spots. I get their lunch special with couscous instead of rice and the portion is pretty filling. After having couscous I am addicted to it. It is sooo good! The lunch special comes with three different meats so you can try a variety. Friendly service. I order take out so no issues with parking. Take out is sealed nicely with aluminum foil to keep the food hot and saran wrap as well. Hands down highly recommended!

Nice and clean interior. Music is playing but quiet enough for an easy conversation!

Today, our travels took us to the Skokie area. The reviews recommended Sarra Grille. Parking was a little tough on the streets since 90% required a permit. Upon entering, the place is very clean and the music was soft. We were immediately greeted and sat by the owner. She was very, very pleasant to talk to! We each got the chicken and this kabob sandwiches. They complimented us their delicious house soup for being new customers. Our food came out quickly. I must say, initially we thought the sandwiches were snall...but they were perfectly sized. The chicken ka Bob sandwich was tender and delicious with a pickle filling. Absolutely delicious! The shish kabob Bob was even better!!! The beef was bursting with flavor. Overall, I give this place 5 stars. They can be slightly pricey, but the good food and amazing service made them worth a revisit!!

I absolutely love this place, this entree specifically hits every time. The kabob is juicy and flavorful and pairs perfectly with the rice, onions and sumac. You can ask for some chili sauce on the side if you like it spicy. It's a big portion too so you'll likely have leftovers! And it comes with a complimentary salad and pita too. Honestly for the price it's a steal. The lady that runs this place is a delight, she's super friendly and sometimes even a little generous if you're nice. Nice place to sit if you want to bring family too. Highly recommend supporting this small business! P.S. there's free parking in the back.

I read the reviews on this place and I totally agree that the food is delicious. I got the combination 1 with the shish kabob, tikka and chicken. You can get either rice or couscous and I went with the rice. That was good but next time I'm going to go with the couscous. The beef was the most tender of the three. Yum! The flavor was mild and could have been more spices but it was good nevertheless. We also ordered the Falafel and Baba Ghanoush. The falafel were fresh and crispy and different from the standard green chick peas that I usual eat. A very pleasant surprise! The baba ghanoush was also good! Yum! The service was great. The only minor disappointment was there was no ice water. They did have bottled water for a fee and we got the last 2 cold bottles. A nice place that I would go again.

It is our first time in the restaurant and the server was so friendly and very accommodating. It is a Syrian Mediterranean restaurant, the food serving size is big and I had the combi platter, it was okay but not great. The rice could be improved, I have a Syrian father in law and it is far from what I have tasted. The dining area is clean. Overall, it was a good place.

A hole in the wall kind of place. Expect great food and huge portions with lotta veggie options. I ordered couscous with chicken kebabs and falafel plate for my wife. The food was out of the world truly authentic. I was surprised by the huge portions, and since I was hungry, they were perfect. We were there for an hour, and the Lady was serving us was pretty sweet. She was able to communicate good and was able to recommend options which was perfect. I have gone there twice already even after I had to drive 50 minutes to an hour each way. Restrooms were clean and plenty of street parking available which helped. The food was served in 10 minutes or so which was nice.

Very delicious and generous food, friendly hostess, quiet and clean env, such a perfect combination! We are glad that we found this 2.5 year old hidden gem today! Keep up the great work owner Nadine!

Now I have eaten at a lot of Mediteranean restaurants over the years & just like every other food type there are some great place, good places & mediocre places. Larsa's definitely rates in the great range. Their food is delicious. In the past people, myself included used Pita Inn as a benchmark, but that's mainly because in the beginning there wasn't much to compare to. I have been trying different Mediteranean restaurants and Larsa's left PI in the rear view mirror. You can't even begin to compare the food at Larsa's to the former as the ingredients and flavors are far superior. Sure the cost is a little more, but there is absolutely no comparison as Larsa's food is far superior everything is made individually and not an assembly line production We started with a cup of lentil soup. I was like a starving animal savoring every bit of that soup. I should have gotten a bowl as it was delicious. Our server Nadia also brought out a regular serving of the jalapeño & cilantro hummus served w/warm thin pita bread. OMG this was like heaven. My sister mentioned that she could make a meal out just the hummus and the pita and I agree. Next we had the Fatoush Salad this has crispy pita crust, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, green peppers w/a dressing with olive oil, lemon & sumac. This was just ok, but I liked the crispy pita bread it added a nice crunch. We split a combo platter as the portion size is very generous. This dish comes w/chicken kabobs, beef kifta, beef shawarma, red onions, tomatoes slices & basmati long grain rice. The kifta & chicken kabobs were both very tasty, it they were a little dry. The beef shawarma was cooked & seasoned perfectly as the pieces just melted in my mouth. Every once in awhile our server Nadia came by and was very helpful in telling us about dishes we had questions about. She was super cool and friendly. There was another server that was also very helpful, but we didn't catch her name. Sometimes you go to a restaurant that everyone raves about and you think ehhh what the big deal, but this isn't the case w/Larsa's. I will definitely be back again. Thanks for the heads up Yelpies you picked a winner.

Have heard good things about their sandwiches, as well. Was glad to see Larsa's staying open through the pandemic. Definitely worth a try!

All I know is that when it comes to falafel, Pita Inn is where I'm headed. I've had a falafel addiction since I was a wee lad. It calls to me. The crisp shell. The moist and not-too-dense insides. Seasoning balanced on a knife's edge. I'm salivating. Falafel, calling my name. There are different approaches to falafel, I know, but Pita Inn lines it up exactly how I like it. Skokie has a plethora of Middle Eastern eateries, and while I have no idea why that is, I'm not mad at piles of falafel on every block. For awhile I was motivated to try other falafel spots. But why? What am I doing? Pita Inn cooks those golden spheres to perfection. And then on top of that, they bring in the accoutrements for backup. The hot sauce. The endless raw onions with sumac. Piles of pickled turnips. They just do it. Then, when I think it's over, they knock me out with a flawless lentil soup and a plant-based kabob made with charbroiled Impossible meat. I give up. Pita Inn, just keep my card on file. I'm not going anywhere else. Take my money. You win.
