October 27, 2019…read more It's a rainy day today and I can't ride my bike so I must write a note as to what happened on the morning of August 15, 2019. My bike needed some repair so I decided to take it to Spoke & Sprocket on 1890 Hyde Park Rd. London Ont. N6H 5L9. The owner gave me a price to repair it which I agreed to and told me to come back the next morning at 7:00 am and said it would be ready. At 7:00 am sharp the next morning I showed up and he went to get my bike. He went to pick the bike out of the repaired pile but could not locate it. Somehow it was delegated to be repaired that afternoon. He was extremely apologetic and told me to return in 1 hour and it would be fixed free of charge for his mistake. I returned in one hour to find new brake pads installed front and back with new cables. He also replaced the shifter cable and adjusted the shifter so it meshed properly in all gears. He also greased the chain and sprocket and yes it was FREE. I only have the most highly regards to this man and his company for his outstanding service. Well Greg was the opposite of what I was excepting, a very nice person in general and patiently helpful. The one thing every review here has in common so far, is that Greg is nice, knowledgable, and a joy to meet. I had commented about the very high prior quote and I think that lead to the owner deciding to neglect my bike, which is ridiculous... I picked it up still needing work after they held on to it for days...a light that was on my handle bars was missing. I later heard that they have a bad reputation for looking to gouge, sell high and bemoan less profitable customers, service work.
