I originally left a review on Google in March, and this update is to add to that experience. Unfortunately, my visit with this practice was extremely disappointing. I was overcharged for my appointment, and my insurance was also overbilled. After posting my first review, I received a call from Dr. Knox and her office manager. Instead of a sincere apology, I was met with excuses. During that call, the office manager assured me that I would receive a full refund and that the mouth guard I paid for would be provided at no additional charge. It is now July, and I have not received the refund, neither the $324 I was overcharged for the visit, nor the refund for the mouth guard. It appears the promise of a refund was made in hopes that I would remove my original review. Since I chose to leave my review up, I have yet to receive the money owed to me or the product I paid for. This office needs to conduct better business and honor their word. Patients deserve transparency, accountability, and respect, not empty promises and poor service.

Everyone I spoke with was very professional and super friendly. Their communication regarding the dental procedures, payments, and instructions on how they're going to handle everything is amazing. I received a tour upon arriving and was introduced to everyone of their staff members who greeted me with big smiles that you could see even through their masks. The steps that they took to be COVID friendly is also well appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, very clean and professional. Jamie was amazing and I can't wait for my next appointment. But if you've got teeth pain or need a root canal, this is where you want to go. I had gone to Dr. Gorman over 10 years ago when I needed a root canal done on a tooth with a permanent crown. He was excellent then, and he's still that way. This time around, I've been having a real go-round with a new permanent bridge that was put in by my regular dentist (went this route rather than an implant after a crown came off with part of my tooth attached). I was experiencing excruciating pain on the entire side of my face where the bridge was placed. Nothing - and I mean nothing - alleviated the pain. I popped Advil like candy. I couldn't sleep. It got bad. Really bad. My regular dentist referred me to Dr. Gorman for assessment. Right away he explained why I was experiencing such intense pain and what I could do to "get things back to normal." A few adjustments on my bite and an anticipated timeline for the muscles on my jaw to heal were given. I did feel better . . . for a bit. Went back to my original dentist to have the bridge seated permanently with less pain, but pain nonetheless. I was referred back to Dr. Gorman again, who once more assessed the healing process and what needed to be done to get me back to a time when I was not having any pain at all. Dr. Gorman is such a kind, patient man. He's extremely professional with an excellent bedside manner. He explains everything in detail, converting to layman's terms when you don't quite get all of the medical lingo! He spends time with you. This is not an in-and-out dental visit. Dr. Gorman talks to you - the person - and takes care of business. He also has state-of-the-art equipment in his office so he's able to see exactly what's going on with your teeth. Office staff is excellent too. Call and you'll often be able to get a same-day appointment. The entire staff is so nice. Highly recommend Dr. Gorman and this practice if you're referred to an endodontist. Excellent, thorough care!

Needless to say, cliff notes version. I scheduled with a specific doctor but was assisted with the other doctor. The jokes they thought were jokes were insensitive, they didn't take my fear seriously, the receptionists were rude. They don't discuss anything with you as far as recovery I did a lot of research just to find out what expectations I should see after my post extraction surgery. Over heard a conversation while getting surgery and brought it up on my one week post op and was looked at like I was the crazy one, at my 6 week post op never even saw a Dr. the dental assistant that I don't care for took the x-ray and just gave very vague reassurance, no one looked inside my actual mouth to review the recovery or even touch base on the incompleted procedure that was discussed over me during surgery. They don't disclose that there is a credit card fee that is $6 btw. It was just a mess. Not to mention the dentist that did my extraction gave me false hope regarding my consultation diagnosis during my consultation knowing that it was impossible. I have my records but honestly so happy I never have to go back again. The energy in the office is terrible, with the exception of two dental assistants one that is new. I knew she was different I felt her energy and the one who assisted with removing some of the stitches that were hanging, her energy was good too. Otherwise I would not recommend at all. That's nearly double what I've paid elsewhere for a similar issue, but since it was an emergency, I went ahead with it. During that visit, they took X-rays. At the end of my appointment, they asked if I'd like to schedule a routine cleaning. I specifically asked if I would need X-rays again, and I was told no, since I had just had them done. Fast forward to today (3/18/25, just 29 days later), I arrive for my cleaning and wait 30 minutes past my appointment time. Then, right before being seen, I'm pulled aside and told that as a cash patient, they offer an "insurance plan" for $99 a month that they try and upsell you, and that today's X-rays alone would cost $199. I explained that I already had X-rays taken less than a month ago, which was the only reason I booked the cleaning in the first place. They then claimed those X-rays weren't "full" and that I would need new ones for a routine cleaning. This practice feels like a money grab. The cost of the X-rays didn't even include the cleaning itself. Meanwhile, other local offices offer new patient specials for $99, including exams and X-rays. I walked out, wasted my afternoon, took time off work and sat in the lobby for 30 minutes when they could have addressed this then but the 2 employees at the front desk were just watching videos online instead. Unfortunate experience, they lost a potential long-term patient. If you're paying out of pocket, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
