I ordered a quick lunch of teriyaki chicken and shrimp, fried rice and egg roll. The food was delivered and I was quite pleased. The portion size was nice for lunch and I had it for 2 meals. There was plenty of meat topping the rice and cabbage. The flavor was excellent. The egg roll was good but they burnt a big piece of it so it was about half. I should have ordered two. They sent a peanut sauce but I didn't eat it. Also sweet and sour for the eggroll. I would like to have some hot chili sauce and spicy mustard but I didn't ask for it. The pinnacle of Mall food, it's not amazing but it's good and with the chicken they give you more than enough for a couple meals Not as cheap as it used to be, but nothing is. Couple pieces of uncooked rice/hard as rocks otherwise everything was fine. Quality control and consistency are nice, they're still the exact same since the 80's. read more

Multiple times I've come here to get some delicious food, but their sanitation is an issue. They are cooking the shrimp and using the same spatula to serve the chicken as well, that's not good for people with shellfish allergies. Probably the only place I would choose in the food court mall if I'm craving something Asian. This is a staple for any food court mall, and is pretty consistent with the other malls I've been in different states. They prepare the food right in front of you, whether you order shrimp or chicken. My go to is the chicken teriyaki plate which includes rice and some veggies. The servings of chicken can vary since the "cook" pretty much eyeballs it, but overall, the portion is good. read more

So i searched the mall food court for a vegatarian option and this place offers a veggie plate. Fail..Mostly cabbage on rice. I love Sarku, their prices are good for the amount of food you get. The soba noodles and teriyaki chicken are really yummy. I agree that it's not necessarily Japanese cuisine (although soba noodles are) but that doesn't have anything to do with my review. I'm giving this specific location one star because their service area is always SO dirty. I went here for dinner last night and both men working were leaning back on the counters and using toothpicks to pick at their teeth. I went to order and neither of them washed their hands. One took my order and the other started making the food, because it was later in the day and they were slow they had to make some fresh soba noodles. I was surprised by how quickly they were finished and I later found out it was because they served them to us without fully cooking them. They were rubbery and chewy. The chicken had been sitting on the stove top for who knows how long. He added some sauce and heated it up and that was about it. Pretty disappointed in my service here. Other locations are generally much, MUCH better. read more
