My husband and I got recommendation from a friend to use JJO Photographers for our wedding in…read moreHawaii last year. We are soooooo happy they were available for our destination wedding weekend and were our photographers. Weddings are expensive to plan and hiring JJO team was the best investment we made for this event. Firstly, working with JJ & Allison were just really easy and a lot of fun. The process of getting to know JJ & Allison (husband and wife team) was Hawaii chill and stress free. My husband likes to nerd out about cameras and photography and he knew right away that the team was seasoned photographers. The pricing was based on the # of hours they dedicate to your event -- and can be split across multiple days. We did a 9-hour session, 8 hours on the wedding day and 1 hour a few days later so we can take photos in nature and ended up with our favorite photos of all time -- many of them. We met the photographer for the first time a few days before the wedding and that was enough for us to communicate our vision for the photos, check out the venue (Cafe Julia), and go over the timeline for the day. Secondly, JJ & Allison are flexible, sensitive, and has a keen eye to details. Allison used to be in wedding coordination -- so she makes sure your hair and makeup and outfit looks great for every photo. JJ followed the men and Allison followed the ladies -- and it just felt like they were a part of the wedding party. They take pictures even when their eyes are not looking through the camera's viewfinder so they really just blend in with the party. And yet they somehow capture so many details from us getting ready, the decor, the venue, the Chinese Banquet, the downpour rain during our ceremony, the cocktail hours, the dancing.... from everything. Third, the photos were amazing! Just wow wow wow. We had over 1000+ photos and I love every single one. We debated a lot on whether it makes sense to spend more money on photographers or videographers -- and now I know, photographers. You watch your video once or twice, but JJO team's photos are on display at our home and your our bed. It's their photos people received for their thank you cards. It's their photo I see when on my phone. It's their photo that reflect on print the love I share with my husband, family and friends. I just wish we had asked them to make a physical wedding album for us. It's really hard to choose 80-100 photos to make a physical album when you love all the photos. JJ & Allison are a small duo team but a mighty and talented team. Hope you get a chance to book them. Next time, my partner and I go back to Hawaii, maybe for an anniversary or a family vacation, we are going to hit up JJ&Allison to take family photo.

I've met Darrin before from working at Southside Ink and really liked his cinematography work he's done for tattoo artists. I contacted him to get some work and he came down within the week to consult with me and scheduled a day to get footage later that week. He was able to get a lot of quality footage through various perspectives in just a couple hours (good time considering he filmed the full lengthy process of silkscreening). Within three days he already had a full version of my promotional video available to view. It came out Awesome beyond my expectations. If your looking for any kind of video filming and editing, I would definitely recommend HAVSVM MEDIA, talk to Darrin. Great quality product with a quick turnaround!

Well, Taylor made sure we were on the dryer side of the island but still had the back drop I was looking for; picked a time that still had great light but worked with the kid's nap schedule; and was very flexible in the date as we were going to be on the island for 7 days with 3 of the days forecasted to be raining. The photos were absolutely stunning. She made us all feel at ease and captured how my family is naturally. She was even able to get some great shots of my three-nager who was throwing a fit because her baby brother was getting a lot of attention for his cake smash. She made the whole process stress free and she was very easy to get a hold of if I needed to ask her something. We got the sneak peak and full gallery shorter than her promised time. Will definitely use her again when we get the chance. We can't thank her enough!

In our first and third sessions, we had to change the location due to weather etc, but they coped with it and even gave us a better alternative by driving around and checking out the nearby area while my husband and I waited in our car anxiously for the wind and rain to pass. After the wait, they suggested a new location and we drove there. We took photos in a location that was similar to the original location we had requested, but it was less touristy. It was secluded and full of beauty. As a local, I was delighted that they took us there!
