Today she mentioned that AETNA does not cover dry needling, that is actually a false claim. I called AETNA and got them on the phone so they could explain to her they do cover dry needling and when AETNA asked what billing code they use for dry needling Elizabeth refused to provide it. When I asked if I could speak to my therapist, Ashley, prior to my visit so I could get the billing code she said no that is not possible. When I asked if I could set up a call to talk to the owner, Stan, prior to my visit she said no that is not possible. When I asked if Stan was in this week so I could pop in to chat with him she refused to answer if he was in. She went on to tell me I could Google the billing code and that she didn't even know if the therapist, Ashley, would be willing to bill AETNA for dry needling. Enter Rolfing In Aspen, a Rolfer certified by The Rolf Institute for Structural Integration, Fiona is a natural at helping re-balance the body so it works more efficiently and with ease. She's also a certified massage therapist as well and comes from an interesting background in sports, movement and working in the medical and health world. Anyway, I heard about her from a buddy that was going to have a neck surgery and did not ending up needing it after he completed a Rolfing 10s series with Fiona. I heard that she's busy working with top executives, musicians, dancers, elderly, elite athletes, youth and the like so I was not sure if I'd be able to get in. Left a message and sent a txt and she got back to me that night and we set up a time. After securing an appointment, I made the trip to Aspen and came in to the tidy office with the lower back thing, crappy posture a gammy knee and a forearm burn from the BBQ. She took the time to understand what was going on and told me straight up how she could help but also let me know what I'd need to do and be responsible for. After just one 90 minute session, I was feeling lighter and free of knee and lower back issues I came in with. Also became very aware of the way I had been holding myself and the improvement that's been made. A super bonus is that night I had the best sleep I've had in years. I've now done 7 of the 10 sessions that's recommended and I'm in better balance and health than I've been in years. Many people have also commented that I seem taller and happier, which is how I feel.
