There seems to be only 1 person managing their email and she is completely useless and extremely rude. Jia Ma-Huang doesn't respond quickly so if you have time sensitive questions like scheduling (which is the case almost every time), you're out of luck. Don't bother calling, no one picks up. The site to book is HORRIBLE. It will be the reason why we quit Anderson which is soon. We feel like the terrible process to find, book, and pay for classes is not worth the extreme stress, headache, and despair you will inevitably feel. The owner tried to show me how to use the site and kept failing. Dude is too cheap to invest in a good experience because HE DOESNT CARE. Teachers are great but EAGER to end. The male instructors DEFINITELY are the weaker ones, it's like my kid is just sitting in the pool doing nothing.

All four of my instructors (Q, Dan, Steve, Matt) were excellent and helped everyone feel safe and engaged. Everything was clear and concise. I highly recommend Pacific to anyone who wants to get their endorsement. I left the second day with a desire to take further courses. This was a stellar experience.

I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone who ends up with Ricky as an instructor. In my case, he gave conflicting instructions -- telling me to slow down in corners, then scolding me for going too slow. When I adjusted, he said I was going too fast. Other students made similar mistakes, yet he only called me out, often in front of the group. At one point, a student dragged their foot in a sharp turn, but he said nothing. When I slightly overshot a corner after following his instructions to slow down, he pulled me aside for a harsher critique. His inconsistent feedback made me more anxious, which led to more mistakes. In the end, despite performing well on the test, I did not pass -- and it felt personal. A little pressure can be helpful, but Ricky created a stressful, unfair learning environment. If you get assigned to him, good luck. You'll need it.

Dogpatch Foil - We are authorized retailers for Fliteboard

Dogpatch Foil

I have nothing but good things to say about Dogpatch Foil! I can't remember my instructor's name,…read morebut he was so kind and knowledgeable. I actually went to two lessons a year apart. The only barrier to me going more is that it is so expensive for one lesson (over $300). The instructor explained the super high cost of the foil itself, so I understand the need to increase the lesson price. I would love to do this more regularly, but cannot for this reason. I decided to splurge on the first lesson and was gifted the second lesson. We put in at Crane Cove Park. I have been there many times but never swam in the water. I was outfitted with a wetsuit, helmet, and booties. I never felt cold while in the water. During my first lesson, they connected this radio to the helmet so I could speak to the instructor while out. It was super helpful because he could give me real-time feedback. In my second lesson, they did not have radios, so it was harder to communicate during the lesson. It really is so fun to foil, and I highly recommend it to anyone who might want to give it a try. If you wanted to feel comfortable doing it, unless you regularly surge/skateboard, it would probably take 3-5 lessons before you are zooming around standing completely, so definitely factor that in when it comes to cost.

They sold me a board and have been super helpful and friendly along the way. I highly recommend them for lessons and sales of Fliteboards!
